Admin and moderators in Rust

Ah yes, I worked this out shortly after posting. It just didn't initially give me a ">" symbol until I hit enter, so it wasn't immediately obvious. Thanks for your reply anyway.

 

I had installed a few plugins that use Authentication levels and when I switched them to 2 and made myself owner, i had no permissions for such things but as a default I did. Any help is appreciated as I'm totally confused.

Still not understanding how to log in as Admin OR Set owner... An up to date video tut would be great... I learn through watching and doing not reading and doing.... I am running Rust alpha win/ 649446... Rusty connects then just crashes so I gave up on it but there should still be a way to set myself as admin on my own darn server.

 

Hi, i'm new to the Rust Experimental Server stuff, I currently have a server with oxide on it, but I can't use admin plug-ins even though I have owner?

 

Really no replies??????????? well it's good thing I figured it out with out y'alls help... and to KOH the answer server/server_identity/cfg/ (make a user.cfg here with ownerid <steamid> game name)

 

I tried but Rcon never worked for me.. Rusty connects then crashes. plus if I am honest I don't understand how this coding stuff works at all I'm taking shots in total darkness right now... thats why I recommended making a up to date video tut.. just reading it confuses the crap out of me. I just know that it works now. Time to work on figuring out how to increase item amount in personal storage from 1000 to what ever I want plus adjust drop rates. I have have ItemConfig, Better loot and Crafting Controller plugins... so I just need to figure out how to adjust the .json for each one of them so far no luck nothing changes.

But anyways I do apologize for getting impatient, it's just I have been working on this for almost 2 months now and this the furthest I have made it since there are no up to date video tuts.

So again I'm sorry for being impatient.

Hey Wulf, Can you maybe help me with a problem I have, I have OwnerID set for my self on my server, it is currently running oxide ( Nice job also man ! ) and I have some plugins that admin's and the owner can use but when I do the command, Ex: The God Mode Plugin and when I type the command it says "You do not have Permission to use this command!" Do you have any solutions???

 

rusty dosnt seem to want to work at all when i launch it..... tried several download links on several sights each time i launch the rusty app it acts like it loads than nothing happens

 

well i just started a server last night through fpsplayers server host provider i have oxide installed along with a hand full of mods for the server the problem is i cant log in as an admin while in game i have searched website after website only to hit a dead end. the mods are there but the server wont let me use them because it dosnt recognize me as an admin.

you need to FTP to your server and go to the cfg folder and add Users.cfg:

[DOUBLEPOST=1433955034][/DOUBLEPOST]on my fpsplayers server account i can go to gane services/current activity&stats and when i am there i can click on a button that says rcon client when i do it gives me two boxes one for a command the other for my rcon password, when i type in ownerid 76561198143289076 "Gordon Freeman" Owner, and i press execute it will say The command could not be executed.
