The quickest way would be to use a site such as http://steamid.co/, but your server also logs it when you join, and it can be found on your steamcommunity.com profile.

  3. thx <3

You aren't an owner yet then. Make sure you follow the steps exactly and normal Rust commands work for you.

  12. Hey wulf. Simple question but I didn't see the answer. I have an admin auth 1, and I want to put him back to player auth 0. Whats the best way to do that. I tried playerid steamid name, on a we imb, but it's not a valid command. School me please.

  15. Well I feel dumber than a coal bucket ... I followed the instructions in post #1 using RUSTY. If I repeat the steps it says I'm already an Admin so, that is an indicator I did it correctly but, when trying to issue commands via the console in game, it says I don't have the proper permissions?

When I view the config file on the game server I don't see any mention of myself. Should I ? If so, what would it look like ?

Did you use "server.writecfg" in the console as instructed?

  17. Yes and every time it verifies that it's saved.

  18. Hi, just a quick one. Ive got a moderator who knows how to use rusty, his used it before and wants to use it on my server for offline moderating. He wants my server password which im a bit wary about as if he has my password the he basically has full access to my server right? He could log in and change password, remove me from owner, etc etc??

He can only do what RCON is able to do. If you, as the server owner, have full access to the server, you can always recover. If he does something wrong, you can always give him the boot later. The only thing he could really do would be changing the name, settings, etc. Just keep backups and be smart.

  20. Yeah i did think if he started sodding about with anything then i can change the server password anyway and would lock him out. Cheers anyway, obviously gotta be wary when giving out passwords.
