Admin and moderators in Rust

    Chat commands are not controlled by Rust's auth levels, but make sure you used "server.writecfg" and logged out and back in, then you can test using the F1 menu. For most plugins, you'd need to check with the plugin you are attempting to use for the permission needed.

    I'm trying to make myself owner via ownerid 64bitsteamid "user". Rusty will say I'm already the owner but I won't get admin privileges and I wont appear in the users.cfg after restart.

    You need to use "server.writecfg" to save to users.cfg, otherwise it is only temporary. "Admin" depends on what you are trying to do, as most plugins use Oxide's permissions not Rust's auth level/owner setup.

    ownerid YOURSTEAMID
    server.writecfg

    Two separate commands. After you do that, you'd need to logout and back in to the server.

    Hmm, will get admin privileges temporarily even after doing the server.writecfg. Will loose them after restart.

    Did you check to make sure it was saved to users.cfg after using the command?

    Hi,

    I am having an issue with my server, for some reason every time my server restarts all the auth levels are removed off of the server, so I am having to re add myself and my staff to auth 1 &2 after every restart, does anyone know why this is happening?

    after you make ur own admin, then u need to write, after that server.writecfg

    Ok heres the problem, im a server owner and i cant die..i get hungry i bleed, but my health never goes down. Why? They only waycso far i found to fix this is to remove my self from server config file conpletely i cant even be moderator... as admin this sucks! I need the ability to die and yet admin properly... ideas?

    Please use the plugin's thread for support. More than likely you either need admin or permissions as listed on their Overviews.
