Admin and moderators in Rust

This is what I find .... /ruste/config/config.vdf

That's all there is in the config folder.

 

I thought you were looking for the users.cfg file why you in the config folder? Can you post a few screenshots on your file system

okay so how do put a moderator down to a normal player

 

If you made them a moderator using normal server commands then you can use the command below to remove them and set them as a normal player.

removemoderator "steamid"
Don't use the "" though

 

I did ownerid 76561198179503846 "WristyTheMod" in Rusty and it says i'm already an owner, and I did the serverwrite.cfg or whatever the save command is and reconnected and restarted server. Nothing changed. I tried multiple solutions I found online and nothing worked. Any help? I'm using Rust and Gameservers.

What things cant you do and when you login does it say in rusty you have auth 2
And try

Then serverwrite.cfg
then relog

It doesn't say anything about auth 2 when I log in. I can't spawn in items, I can't change kits, I can't do anything that admins or mods can do.

 

What plugins do you have

 

Also rusty doesn't want to send any commands. It says I am connected and it has my servers name at the bottom but when I try to kick or ban someone it doesn't do anything. Also when I try to use airdrop on rusty it says command not found. Also I still can't do admin stuff.

 

Lusty map you need to remove the (1) from the file name. If you pm me your Skype info will get the problem fixed for you

 

I was curious to know if there is a way to give someone undercover admin privs? Like give someone privs with no green name?

 

Question in this, im removing a moderator using removemoderator steamid64

then doing server.writecfg

opening up the users.cfg file and the moderator is still in there, remove the moderator line manually, save the cfg and so server.writecfg and it adds the moderator back in the users.cfg file again! im tried for ages!

 

did the mod relog and you sure it was steam64id you used

 

after some screwing around i managed to get it to remove permanently haha all g

Me and a friend have been trying to make ourselves admins on our brand new Experimental Rust server all day now and are really struggling with finding a solution. We cannot log into 'ClanForge' for an RC0n port/password as there seems to be a bug with the log ins. Once we can enable ourselves as admins we know what we're doing but we can't get that far unfortunately. Any help would be much appreciated.
We bought our server through 'BlueFangSolutions'. All mods work find however we cannot enable ourselves as admins as anything we try doesn't seem to work.

 

I have written everything explained on the first post of the thread. They do not seem to appear on the config file. When I enter in the server info it says it is successful, the box turns green but it still says "Not Connected" next to it.
