You're a life saver! However; I don't see that option in the config, unless I'm blind :O

I did that, but now when players try to remove their own stuff it says "Cannot be removed" I'm confused how this is supposed to work :S

Ohhhhhhh lol I thought you meant have the owners of the building try it.... I'm assuming you mean Building Owners is the name of a plugin? If so I feel silly!

Hello everyone!
I am confused! , so a little bit of help will be much appreciated.
How do I allow normal players to use remove ? (I am also using buliding owners plugin)
The idea is to allow owners who are building remove their stuff only.
Since I am a bit lost with config files , I would need someone giving a hand there.
!Thanks! ^^ -
Hey guys Dan here,
Well i have been playing on a couple rust servers and seen the remove plugins functions(i believe it's the remove plugin) one of which allows the players to remove other peoples houses once the cupboard is authorized. Meaning that raiding is completely different on server with this enabled, where if you get raided your house will most likely be destroyed.
What my idea is: When joining the server this feature is disabled meaning people can destroy your builds and vise versa, but there is an option to enable it, it would be a one time thing(no disabling it again.)
I haven't yet thought of a way to sort out the problem of teams taking this to their advantage, by the placer having it disabled(meaning the house couldn't be broken) but his friend have it enabled(being able to break others) so if someone has an idea to fix that please comment.
So that's my idea, comment your opinions and solutions to the issue.
Thanks,
Dan -
I'm not sure I fully pick up what you're saying but
From what I understand, you can enable this feature which allows you to use the remove ability once your authorized to a cupboard, once enabled other players can then use this feature on your home if they're authorized. However the twist is if you don't enable it no one can use it on your home.
Did I pick that up right?
If so maybe toss this at @Reneb as a feature idea for his remover tool. However your abuse issue still exists. Which is an issue that many plugins face where people abuse friends to gain the upper hand.
Maybe an idea where a building is fully removed automatically once its been raided would be a better solution. Since 90% of the time if someone gets raided they either quit the server, abandon the home, or destroy it anyway.
this removes the enable or disable problem and makes everything neutral in a sense, the problem now lies in how do you determine when a building is "Fully raided" or what is the building belonging to the raided player to remove.
But that's just more ideas to toss into the air. -

Hello, I have a suggestion for this mod. The remove tool is awesome and makes building a lot easier, but it also makes griefing a lot easier too. Raiders find the tool cupboard and will commonly destroy an entire base, even if resource giveback is set to 0%.
I was curious (if this is even possible) if an option could be created to require resources to remove building parts. So, for example, if you wanted to remove a metal wall, you would need as many resources as it takes to place that wall to remove it. The benefit to this would allow builders to remove their materials still, and raiders would be severely discouraged to removing bases since it would cost them materials to destroy the building.
Thanks for the consideration. -
you can make it that only the building owner can remove the house, just deactivate the use of the tool cupboard option
-
That is what I will probably end up doing - if I'm not mistaken that would limit the remove tool to only work with the solitary building owner though right? So if you build with a group of people, only one would have the ability to use the remove tool since there is only one owner. Is that correct?
Thank you for taking the time to respond, by the way. -
Yes it's correct
-
Please update to support removal of Spike walls..

Anyway to fix the issue where you can't replace a foundation after is has been removed from the middle of a base? Or is this just an issue with Rust?
-
no reason for this plugin to do that, so it's probably a rust bug.

Hey @Reneb, I found a small bug with /removeall, if removeall is used close to another building with tool cupboards in it, it removes those tool cupboards also but the building is kept. Just seems to be tool cupboards.
