Hello,
I'm desperate because this plugin is a must for me... and it suddently stops to work...
I have those error messages I clearly don't understand...
The issue in game : animals can't spawn excepted in very little spaces, generaly where there is no buildings at all (from players or from games like radtown...)
Please Help !!TY
(Of course I tried to unload the plugin, to erase the cs and json files, and download the lastest version to reinstall it... no way :'( )

A few details :
I had this issue when i tried to use CustomAnimalSpawns inside a zone from ZoneManager in which i had a Repair Bench !
I don't know where the "confict" was or if it was one, but after removing the Repair Bench from the zone, and then reloading the 2 plugins (CAS and ZM), I finally had the possibility to use CAS inside the zone as I wanted to...

now getting this error,
Sometimes the plugin will create spawns other times it just doesnt do anything, restarted server several times, it works for a little and then does nothing,

I suppose you decided to spawn zombie, so try "zombie.population" on your Rcon (or Rusty) console, maybe you have it = 0, then change it with "zombie.population x" (x is the population per square km).
On my server after a restart, the animals just don't spawn.
To fix it, i just spawn an animal manually with the "spawn" command (for example "spawn chicken") in the game console, and just after I do a "oxide.reload CustomAnimalSpawns" on the Rcon (or Rusty) console and all the animals spawn correctly thenLast edited by a moderator: Oct 3, 2017 -

Have to get the numbers right otherwise its like peak hour in the slaughter house with bears, wolves and zombies all over the place chasing each other,
BTW: i had no problems with using CAS inside radtowns or monuments until devs changed the navmesh setup, now they wander around the map and sometimes congregate, if you try to set them inside lighthouses it can be a problem and with the supermarket they sometimes spawn on the roof when you "create" them, but otherwise all good -
Does anyone have any ideas why the plugin might not be loading on restart? Spawning an animal and reloading the plugin does work.
edit: The problem causing the plugin not to initialize the spawns is found in FindPointOnNavmesh() method. I didn't find the root cause but decided to bypass using the method to resolve the issue.Last edited by a moderator: Oct 7, 2017 -
would this cause the animals to stand still on my server? after the latest rust update all the animals on my server are all stood still and i have no idea why? but i noticed that i have this plugin installed which my friend must of installed, it is update to date

Animals instantly respawn when killed. How do I fix this? The CustomAnimalSpawns.json is blank.

I can activate the animal spawn tool using /cas add 4, it say to shoot to place spawn point, i click the left and right mouse button but nothing happens. When the instruction say shoot, do i need to have a gun in my hands or something else? i have nothing in my hands currently, i have even put my self in noclip, but still does not work.

PS> I have a server rented from Gameservers.com.
It is Working now - Nav was disabled by default from gameservers.com, turn it back on and all is well.

Where do i get the list of animal IDs? im new to Oxide and plugins, would like a recent update please.

Oxide API for Rust -
How do you delete certain spawn points? I wipe them and do the remove command but they respawn anyways.

Getting (UnityEngine.GameObject) has no population - should be removed
errors after a server stop and restart.
This jacks up the server AI forcing having to remove CAS plugin (leaving configs in place) and toggle AI settings to rekick the AI.
I can then reinstall the CAS and animals are fine until the next reboot again.
If I unload CAS prior to reboot sometimes but not always I do not loose my AI on reboot.
Somehow left over animals after CAS unloads during shutdown are causing this. -
