I would Very much Welcome that Fix. We are using IO clans plugin, and still sticking to an old betterchat,
makes life harder when other plugins getting errors from that old version

 

For those wanting a Filter for BetterChat, I've just made one here BetterChatFilter | Oxide
It's based on LaserHydra's old code and should be pretty lightweight!

I created another group called "admin" and changed color to green, so that admins are still green.
But if i move myself to "admin" group, i'm still in default group. Anyone has an idea for this please?

 

You need to remove yourself from the default group. As for the colour not changing, I can only assume that you haven't changed the correct field. You need to change:

Check you haven't made a mistake in your .data file using a .json checker: JSONLint - The JSON Validator.

He cant remove himself from the default group as it will auto add him after relogging he just needs to fix the betterchat.json in his data folder and if he and many others just took the time and looked over passed posts they would see that and not make post after post asking the same thing

 

I see.. D3nny, you should set the default group to hide if it's not priority. While that's very true Res, those who choose to reply do so to help, even if it's directing them to read the overview and updates. Your signature shows your attitude towards helping people

 

I already set the default group to Hide, and removed myself from default - and added me to admin group then. Works fine. Thank you

 

Hey, i was trying to add Clan Tag to Username. Its not working how i made this, can anybody help?
i'm using RusIO Clans Plugin.

 

If you read a few posts back, clan tags are no longer managed by BetterChat. Go to the Clans IO plugin and look for the attachment from LaserHydra. @Wulf - This keeps coming up, maybe you could request for the developer to update the plugin or replace the version with Lasers after reviewing it? (Approx page 29).

 

I am using the Clans IO plugin - where should i search for the Attachment please? Support Thread?

 

It's around page 29 if you're using 1920x1080 resolution. If it's smaller, go a few pages further. I cannot post the file as it's against the rules and there's approx 6-7 changes - too much to quote.

 

I doubt the page item count varies.

 

Well I've referenced it to other people and they've told me it's been a few pages down so I just figured it was the resolution? I didn't know it counted how many items were on the page? - thanks

So you got it, awesome. Just so you know, BetterChat doesn't accept 3-byte hex code. So you would convert it, you would instead duplicate each character like so: #55aaff
