2012 is what is needed. The only reason you will get those errors is if you don't have it.

  5. Yeah I just tested build 34 and it doesn't seem to be working. Nothing loads at all. The only thing that happens is I get an echo of my batch file and it just sits there. I even let it sit for like 30 minutes and nothing loaded. I didn't try Renebs yet so maybe i'll load that until another stable build gets pushed.

    Here is my Log Output

  6. What are we going to have to say about 100000 times?
Last OXIDE is NOT FOR THE LAST RUST BUILD!
    So it will NOT WORK.
Stop sending those error messages, already 5 or even more people sent the SAME error, and we keep answering the same thing, again and again!
use my temporary build until one of the staff (most likely Wulf) comes back.

  7. Well I didn't see where anyone answered it all I was trying to do was help and if the link on the main page goes to the GitHub https://github.com/github.com/OxideMod/Snapshots and the only one is build 34 and not yours then well I downloaded that as it says it was updated 19 hours ago so my bad.

Always pay attention to the date in the filename or what server version it says it is for. Do not assume based on when it was added.

  9. I'm getting the same error as the post above, but I'm also using the "development" branch, not "experimental". Compiled Oxide from source and made sure I have the VC++ 2012 x64 redist installed. Probably has to do with the fact I'm on the dev branch.

EDIT: Going to try replacing the dependencies with the ones from the latest dev server to see how that goes.

  10. It Will not work on dev servers.
We only post for main branch.

Oxide 2 is not usable ot of the box for the Dev branch. It doesn't matter if you build it yourself or not, you have to patch the Rust DLLs for that specific server version using the Oxide 2 Patcher.

  12. Gameservers are linking to the build34 and as stated before its not working. This will become a issue....

  13. Understood. Used the Patcher to patch the Assembly-CSharp.dll & Facepunch.dll and now it works fine. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

They should pay attention to the date then. ;)

Hope the Rust fixes the rust lag issues they are really killing the server populations

  16. It doesn't really say what version of client/server it is for so how am I to know I thought maybe you uploaded a new build which it says 34. If that isn't the new or old or whatever it is it doesn't work for Rust 1159 or whatever it's on with the new building structure. On GitHub maybe have the date and client/server version included in the file name so people don't get confused.;)

Facepunch didn't include a version nor build with their server after awhile, so date was the only option. The date matches the date of that particulate server update. The client also rarely matches the server version, so not much we can do.

  18. nah rust just sucks with this building style it takes away from well building and it doesn't even go past stone so any house you try and build its going to get raided if players do in fact get on your server.

Okay so if a person uses Steam CMD how does one get old server files... and on http://rust-servers.net/server/16296/ which yes I know is not affiliated shows it as 1159 currently and has updated and has shown different build numbers since I've been hosting a Rust server.

1159 is the network/game client version. The server doesn't show a version anymore since... about a month now. They used to store the build number in the source, but it has since been removed.

  20. It shouldnt as the config of pcide2 patcher isn't the good one à some stuff has changed
