Where have you put your rust files on what drive take a screenshot and post it
-
Now, having added back the CSharpCompiler.exe and restarting the server, it appears to have wiped the map. Where did I go wrong? -
My server wont start after the new update.
When i open the start.bat file it just sits there, never happened before and my hurtworld server opens up fine, only thing i edited was the seed.
Tried a new .bat file but no luck there either. any suggestions -
I need to see the path of where it is

[DOUBLEPOST=1453418239][/DOUBLEPOST]He needs to install/update oxide by installing the latest to his C:\oxide\server folder -

The critical thing that was missing is using Steam CMD to update the base server files. That detail was glossed over, and as a noob, was not an immediately apparent point to me.
1. Update server with Steam CMD.
2. Copy/paste oxide folder contents into server install directory. Overwrite all.
3. Hopefully success.
EDIT: No success. Running the startup script now only brings up a blank screen.
EDIT 2: Cancel that, needed to fix the install directory that was specified in the script given to me.
Repasting the contents seems to have fixed everything.
Resistance, thank you for your help. I do appreciate it.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 21, 2016 -
Ok spent a night on not reading the instructions but just pasting in and starting it up. Panic, game don't load, regular players pissed a bit, dumb me. Today i learned what a snapshot is. Thank you Wulf for all your work, i'm quite new with my modded server but after i saw last 2 months how much you do i want to dedicate this song to how your work makes our Rust game;

OK.. Now Im confused.. This is my first time having to update. I grabbed the Oxide-Master.zip. But its file structure is vastly different than any of my file structure. Where do I put what?

Im getting this message Server Update Required when trying to connect after Devblog 94. Is there a command that i can put into the console that will update Oxide?

Make sure you are using the latest Oxide build, either from your host our snapshots repo. Details are on the download page and stickied in this forum section on how to update manually.
