Ah nice one, I'll keep posted on this thread then and come back when I hear something.
Thanks lads! -
It does make a difference. If you update before the Oxide update is out, you'll often be running a "vanilla" server until the Oxide update is ready. This isn't always the case (small patches don't usually break Oxide), but will definitely happen with larger updates. On the flip side, players that have the updated client won't be able to play on your server until you push the update out.

Remember that Oxide Update does not comes at the same time with the Rust Update.
It usually takes 1-2hours or maybe even less. -
Ok thx
better is to wait for the Oxide Update -
-
does wulf recognize the early update of rust ?

I would like to know what garry thought about pushing the update that soon ... my hoster schedueled an tcadmin maintenace exactly at this current timepreiod and i couldn't even get everything ready for the update. i guess most server owners are pissed as well since we have no idea when oxide will be ready... which ofc is not wulfs fault
-
I wouldn't worry. If you're playerbase are loyal within 5 minutes of it up again you will see 50 players. Right now im enjoying just running around naked on the updated servers.

Hey together...
I use Oxide and a bunch of plugins for a while now, everything worked fine so far or was solved within a short time.
But now there's a problem I don't know where it comes rom and it happens randomly.
Sometimes Oxide isn't starting correctly after my daily server restart, I only notice it when I browse to rust:io to have a quick look and the "server is not responding".
Then I start Rusty and check with oxide.version and if I get the Command not found I know it happened again.
Anyone of you having the same issues?
There's nothing special in the log tho and a manual server restart solves it in 90% of the cases, right now there are 10 players onine and it hurts a bit to resart so I ask myself, is there anything I can do to avoid that bug?
Kind Regards
7th
I just realized in the webpanel, Rust protocoll has changed, I guess an oxide update is on the way... -

Can you all be more patient?
-
I am patient enough with my email now set to update me every 10seconds with a fat ass beep whenever the update comes or a reply on this thread. Gotta change that
-
Guys who are already updated with oxide has 70+ players
Be more patient?>? -

[DOUBLEPOST=1437668778][/DOUBLEPOST]How the hell do those 10-ish servers update so fast? -
Looks like the new update has caused some issues with Oxide, ive got the same problem RUSTY does not connect either
