  1. New kit plugin is WAY better. I would switch and get yourself used to it. It works great now! Making kits now is so much easier. Thanks for the great work!
     
  2. lol. tell me pls how can you setup following huge home kit in new system?
    50.000 wood
    25.000 stone
    10.000 metal fragment

    You can get max 100pcs wood from via consolve by one click
    do you really have 1hr for setup this simple thing?
    If you setup dat file then need to restart server for each correction
    Also nobody have enough empty space for get all items in to their inventory due to max 1000pcs limit which means that; we need to use additional plugin or setup for change stack limit as well but nothing necessary for old kit which is still giving more than 1000pcs in to the one slot(for example 1million pcs in one slot)

    old system was perfect
    new one will be better if some corrections performed
     
  3. I just wouldn't rely on this plugin to deal with stacking. That's not its intention. Just simply use the plugin to do that. IF you do, creating the kits is VERY simple now. You don't have to restart for everything. I've made, edit, deleted kits fine, without restarting.
     
  4. If you make correction in dat file, Even you delete or change data file and/or reload plugin it will not effect until restart the server!

    But if you make changes only in game ofcourse it will work but you can not create complicate kits in game.

    If you create simple kits such as 1 apple 1 hammer etc. I agree with you but what about above mention home kit?

    If you want to give in your kit something else more than 1000pcs, nobody can say that; new system better than old one

  5. I'm not here to debate. I have a complex admin kit and it was as easy as the 1 apple 1 hammer idea. I think if you just use the ItemConfig plugin, all will be good. Again, it's a great plugin and really easy to use. I make everything in-game without issue. No need to edit files anymore.

    Why I should use another plugin for fix problems?

    Since the old one able to give any quantity in one stack why we need to use new one with additional plugins?

The stacks of a thousand isn't because of a change to the plugin but due to a change of the item definitions in Rust and since there already is a plugin to change the stack amounts that you can use it would be silly to implement this in this plugin as well as this will most likely bring plugin incompatibilities with it.
     
  8. When i made this plugin there was only 1 or 0 as Stackable, now it's 1 or more.
    And if you stack stuff of Stackable 1 you Will just use all of them in once and loose everything.
    I just made this kit according to how rust works.
    And as mughisi said, it's better to make plugins that do 1 thing to prévent future plugin incompatibilities.

  10. Well, as an admin I rarely perform functions from inside the server. This is not helpful at all for an admin that has spent the time to create a large number of kits and is constantly making tweets to them. Before this change I could simply FTP, and make numerous changes to my kits, then type oxide.reload Kits in Rusty RCON and I was done.

    If I do attempt to write to the kits_list file in the data directory. I have to kill my server in order for it to take effect. So it negates oxides effort to make it easy to make individual changes on the fly, without a server stop.

    Obviously Kits is a great plugin, but this change has made things much more difficult for this admin who HAD his kits squared away.

    One thing.....can you explain better about the autokits. I cannot figure it out.
     
  12. Autokits are kits that are placed on your character after waking from death, or being a new player on the server. The player does not need to type anything. In other words, he starts off with this gear.

    Setup: Gear up your character that has an authlevel of 2 with whatever you want on the Belt, in the "Main" (your inventory), and in "Wear". After the character is set the way you want it, type the following:

    /kit add "autokit" "This is the autokit"

    This works, but anyone can just type /kit autokit and get it. Please give proper instructions. Thanks.

    oh and adding -authlevel2 does not remove the ability for players to just type it out and or see it in the kits list.

  17. You sûre you did set it correctly?
    Check in the kits_list if Level is set.

    Ill add an option to reload the kits list for people that want to edit them manually
     
  18. Added a kit and called it Basic Kit and trying to retrieve the kit and it says it doesn't exist.

    Typed: /kit add "kitbasic" "Basic Kit" -max2 -cooldown18000

    Cant get the kit. Even though it was created and its called Basic Kit when I type /kit.

  20. When I pressed enter nothing came up to say that a kit had been created.

    I had x200,000 wood, x5 torches, x1 rock, x1wooden spear, x1 foundation building plan, x1 hazmat pants, x1 hazmat jacket and x1 hazmat boots.

    Only after nothing came up I entered it again and it said I had already created a kit called Basic Kit. No error popped up.
