any idea how to fix the Reached max depth error?
-
I tried to set max depth to zero, and it gets the error even when you are on a rock only a little higher than the NPC. When I tried to set max depth to 10000, it seemed like it wasn't any better than 1000.
It also gets the warning when you shoot an NPC from a window, or on a roof if you are not on the edge of the roof. If you are on the edge of a roof, the NPC will come after you and you won't get the warning as long as the roof isn't too high.
So since the range of weapons and how far NPC's render is farther than the max depth, we will always get the warning. -
But he isnt defending himself even if im right infront of him, he is also set to hostile and he doesnt attack no one, just keeps spitting that same error even if you are 3 feet infont of him and on same level
-
If its set to 1000 for max depth, waypoints is loaded, and your plugins are up to date, I don't know.
I'm somewhat a noob when it comes to anything beyond that.
I never set any paths or waypoints for my NPC's. I just loaded pathfinding and waypoints and it just worked.
The only other thing I can think of is if you set paths, or waypoints last wipe or moved the NPC without updating the path. I think you would need to make a new path if the spawn coordinates of the NPC changed. I'm not sure. I never set paths. -
I have all 3 plugins yes and have not set anything in waypoints and pathfinding. I only set up 1 npc to defend and be hostile and have a kit. Then brought over a volunteer to attack and he just sits there having a seizure and spitting out that same error. Ive done many tests and keep trying different setting and no go...?

Hello, I have an error message after installing the mod, when I list the active mods with the command line "oxide.plugins"
I get the following error message :
Pathfinding - Failed to compile: PathFinding.cs(168,21): error CS1525: Unexpected symbol 'end-of-file'
My server have the following mods :
Death Notes (5.2.5)
InfoPanel (0.9.3)
ScreenTimer (1.0.2)
Zeiser Levers REMASTERED (1.6.1)
Waypoints (1.1.1)
HumanNPC (0.3.2) (Failed to compile due to PathFinding's error)
PathFinding (1.0.1)
Everything mod is in his last version (installed yesterday for the oldest ones)
The server is updated and brand new (he is 2 days old)
I tried to unload, load, reload the mod, I removed the mod from the FTP, downloaded it again from oxidemod.org, uploaded it again in the FTP but nothing seem to work.
Can you help me please ?
Thanks ! (and please excuse my english !)

Ok, the server got an update today, the error message changed :
HumanNPC - Failed to compile: HumanNPC.cs(471,61): error CS1061: Type 'Oxide.Plugins.PathFinding' does not contain a definition for 'Go' and no extension method 'Go' of type 'Oxide.Plugins.PathFinding' could be found. Are you missing an assembly reference? -
this keeps popping up in server console [Oxide] 12:41 [Warning] [PathFinding] Hit MaxDepth! is there a fix?

We have one NPC called the "Scientist". We have deleted his path once and remade his path, but i get some warnings in console constantly, every 2. second it says :
[Oxide] 13:15 [Warning] [PathFinding] Hit MaxDepth! -
I get this every second:
http://rust.mcraft.dk/images/pathfinding.gif
I do not understand, why a routine for max amount of "warnings" may be posted in console at a time, has not been implemented. Please try to reduce amount of repeatings.Last edited by a moderator: Jun 27, 2016 -
Can the spamming every second with "[Oxide] 22:42 [Warning] [PathFinding] Hit MaxDepth!" be removed abit, so we can use this plugin?
I have had to remove and stop the plugin PathFinder, which also stops HumanNPC. But i will rather have a console to read then a spamming every second. -
