I ever use the lastest version.
We are here 3 ppl with same problem.
And I dont use any other plugin for control the heli, just HeliControl and HeliVote.
Currently I deactive HeliControl and add CopterTracker but is not the same, I liked HeliControl, I hope the fix then I can put back the HeliControl.

Please @Shady757 take a look on this!

I'm running version 1.1.1 and not encountering any HeliControl related crashes. I did have a random crash on one of my servers, which was EAC related.

I'll do some testing on the latest version.

 

Read back a few posts. Chances are it's not HeliControl's fault, I'd recommend posting your error/crash log here or in a new thread, or just wait until Thursday, likely that some server crashes will be fixed.

 

Yes Shady you are right,
I deactive the HeliControl (uninstalling)
and the crash was produced again when was destroyed.

I have not log, realy just inmediatly crash some minute later of the fire and the gibs spreding

 

Guys, @Shady757 is right, we need to wait for RUST fix by FacePunch - tested on Vanilla servers, crashing them right after heli is shot down or after gibs/napalm... Its really an anoying bug but not by Oxide or by this perfect and awesome plugin! Lets hope, tommorows update will fix this

How to get permissions to commands helicontrol? I am admin on a server but can't use helikill or any command heli***. Why?
I wrote helicontrol.admin in tchat and in console, but "Invalid command" is returned to me.

 

It's not a command. Here's an example:

HeliControl Not Spawn Automatic i spawn it by /callheli

Got a crash after taking down the heli again. I know this is probably not due to helicontrol, but I'm hoping you have some suggestions.

 

I too am having the same problem. I had one of the players on my server test it out. He summoned the Heli like normal, took it down, and waited for the flames to go away. Once the flames went away he began to harvest the Heli for metal and boom. Server crashed. He attempted this 2 more times. Same way and same results. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

 

I just installed this for the first time 10 minutes ago and I haven't experienced a crash in anyway that you guys are explaining. It's running fine except when a player has permissions to /callheli well it doesn't actually call a heli but it does show that its spawns. It only works if i do /callheli <player name>

Is this a problem on windows servers only btw, not on linux?

I quiet like the idea of this mod,

It is reliable, very well presented on how it works, it functions as it says.

Now,

what I really am after is a plugin that is going to Auto spawn Helis onto my server every 25-30 mins (what ever desired time)

I have came onto my server a lot to find people saying that they have not seen helis yet,

so how can I add it so that there is Auto helis spawning at set time intervals?

Hey Shady, after having a huge discussion with Alistair and other server owners about the crashing situation it's basically ended like this. RUST - Facepunch Jira

Alistair implied that it's not a rust issue and that it's an issue with either AlphaLoot or HeliControl, I've tried to ask what in specific causes it, maybe being that he works at facepunch he could find the issue but no response.

I hope this can be resolved shortly, no helis for 3 weeks is really getting on my nerve but I cannot fix it.

AlphaLoot by itself = no crashes
AlphaLoot with helicontrol = crashes
Helicontol by itself = crashes.

In the config there is this option, convert your desired time to seconds and chuck it in there, making sure to put a .0 on the end.
