I didn't think you meant to be rude. It did come across that way. Either way, I had it working at one point. It was right after you named the bots and I had the kits working. Then you updated again and things stopped working right. I wanna say version 1.0.6 or lower was good. As of right now I'm reverting to 1.0,.5 to see if can make it work again.
When I like the potential of a plugin, I like to help and see it grow into something. So that's all Im trying to do on my end. The more informed you are, the more you can know what to look for.
My suggestion: Revert the bot_fire_range and Ignore_animals. Take those options out completely, That's when it started going wonky.

Fair enough man, I appreciate that.
If you do find anything conclusive between versions on your end, you're right; It might be useful in hunting down the problem.
Did you update oxide + kits, btw?
Also, how does it perform with fire_range left at the default value? -
Oxide I unistalled and reinstalled last night
I never touched the fire range. I just noticed a difference within the version I used. because I started with 1.0.0
Im on Rusty Spoon right now. His is pvp nothing pve about it, and the bots are going mad. He is using the Version 1.0.9 and they have exceedingly fast fire rate. I just don't know what the difference between servers is. Im trying to find out.
Edit: 1.0.5 is not spawning either. Im gonna leave it alone for a while. Im frustrated. -

I am still facing the same issue. The name of the kit isn't wrong, as the bots wont even spawn in under default kit, all the other settings are untouched. Any other solutions?

1.0.8 load well
What I do wrong? -

Loving the mod. Set up a few different Bots around my server.. loaded differently. All working well so far!
Thanks for putting it together bro. -
Although it sounds like you should hook up with Krazy.
As much as I'm struggling for suggestions, I'd love to know what's causing this.

Try it and let me know, if I don't beat you to it.

If so remove it. -
Needless to say right about 3:45am after testing on different sized maps (getting different fire rate results), changed my server.config (not saying there was anything in there conflicting cause I don't know for sure.) I just went with default config setup in the server "easy configurator", I reinstalled the original backup for my server. Started it back up and low an behold, Bots started spawning and firing at a decent rate, and as far as I know they are still up working like normal. I haven't tested "kits" since then so I don't know what the effects will be when I do. But I will test them again then post here. I do honestly think that whatever you put in the kit some things just don't work, (like melee weapons).. so Ive heard. But we'll see as I do want this plugin to thrive
Thanks for the suggestions that you have given @Steenamaroo , You have done a great job with the plugin so far, Keep up the good work and hopefully you'll find out the more serious things that are causing some servers owners trouble and be able to find a permanent solution.
I will help in any way I can.
Thanks again. -
Hmm interesting !
Works fine ? Does the plugin occur bugs/lags for the server ?
Works with HumanNPC, right ? AI is from HumanNPC too ? -

Guys..still cant avoid animals from killing bots..i actually got this config:
"Options": {
"Bot_Accuracy": 10,
"Bot_Damage": 0.5,
"Bot_Firing_Range": 30,
"Bots_Drop_Weapons": false,
"Ignore_Animals": false,
"Reset": true,
"Respawn_Timer": 300,
"Upper_Bot_Limit": 120
And plz..explain me difference between:
"Dome": {
"Activate": true,
"BotHealth": 100,
"BotName": "Dome Bot",
"BotRadius": 10, <========= this radius
"Bots": 2,
"Kit": "bots",
"Radius": 150 <============ & this radius -
Hi,
'Ignore_Animals" would need to be set to true if you want them to ignore animals.
'Bot Radius', as per overview, is not yet implemented.
It is hoped that, eventually, each bot's range of free-roaming can be limited.
Right now they will eventually travel away from the monument, which is why we have a temporary 'Reset' option.
That option will respawn all bots at their monument every 15 minutes.
Radius 200 means bots will spawn somewhere, at random, within 200m of your monument.

I'm not professing to know anything about it as I've had no need to dabble with performance related options and have had no issues with my host,
but I've seen plenty of threads where people have complained of animal AI issues, and the replies often suggest that the provider may be forcing certain performance-related settings upon your server.
I believe, in some circumstances, these can override your server config settings.
Again, I have no first hand knowledge or experience here, but perhaps it's something to google or look into?
For your reference I can confirm that, under my test circumstances, there is no issue with map sizes between 1+6k, and no issue specific to mp5s.
Thanks again!Last edited by a moderator: Aug 9, 2017 -
That would be great. If you don't mind. LOL
I understand completely what you're saying. I was just looking at certain settings last night and some were different than what I googled online last night. I did however edit my config with the default values of those settings to see if I see anything different. Ill see tonight when I get on whats it like. I know when I went to bed last night. They were still firing a bit slow, but faster than the mp5, armed with a shotgun. -
My server host is GameServers although I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend them for separate reasons.
I also keep a home-hosted server running for testing etc.
