BGrade

It's just a small but required change. You now have to call UpdateSkin() after SetGrade(). Otherwise it will crash the client.

 

newest update / oxide update seem to have broken it again.

So.... Now UpdateSkin not needed anymore or what? Can someone check my plugin with latest rust because i still can't do this right now.

try original version of my plugin (not recon), if it works rust developers rollback changes or something like this.

 

No. You MUST USE UpdateSkin(). It does NOT work without it
If you don't use UpdateSkin(), the clients crash.

Works fine for me. You are not on the latest Oxide/Rust version if it doesn't work (compile) on your server.
Do "version" and "oxide.version" in console/rcon and post the output.

Anyway while testing i never got crash even without "UpdateSkin" but as i understand this happens in multiplayer only (when many people build at same time).

 

It's easy to reproduce without UpdateSkin:
Place 2 foundations with bgrade. Place 2 pillars without bgrade on it. Try to upgrade pillars with hammer.

 

what is the updateskin ? how to use it ?

why are people placing down free upgrade despite noores being disabled?

 

if someone use's the plugin the server will go from 266fps to 30fps ... something is rong whit the plugin
and than it starts kick here ban there because ppl are laggy...

 

Can't confirm. Had 4 people building with bgrade on, stable 980 FPS.

 

okey seems BuildingOwner is the problem for people having same issues:

Awesome plugin.

I'm using a plugin called NoEscape. Is it possible for you to create some kind of hooks where it can interact with something in the fashion "CanBgrade" or something.. To let the NoEscape check that option and disable the possibility to bgrade during a raid.

This would help a lot and make us able to use bgrade like it's suppose to. Right now when people get raided they directly build new foundations/walls and it's basically impossible to raid when people instabuild new walls.

Just FYI, we did a test today to see why my server was getting strange inconsistent lagging. We found that when someone is using bgrade, it lags for a second or two when placing the building block. This is also causing lag spikes on the server.
