Colors work for me, but any changes i make to the config dont take effect

 

Do you reload the plugin after changing something?

 

Just did. I'm still showing up orange. Server doesn't need a restart after reloading it does it?

hmmm idk what the issue is. the console is showing a successful reload of the plugin with the new colors and everything. I also just noticed prefixes aren't working either. does it conflict with the Clans plugin?

 

Try it. Try disabling plugins which change stuff at the names and chat.

 

Nope still nothing. :/ console still indicating everything is O.K. as far as the reloads and unloads are concerned

 

Well Im really not sure what your problem is :c
It works pretty fine for me...
One last idea to see if other plugins are breaking it:
do oxide.unload *
and then just do oxide.load betterchatname
and see if it works then.

Wow I really don't know what you should be doing wrong...

as you can see, Its working on other servers. the latest version.

Try deleting the plugin + config and putting it in again, without changing ANYTHING

 

Still nothing. I unloaded all other plugins first to ensure no conflicts.

Also, not sure if it means anything, but the .json file name is betterchatnames, and when i do the oxide commands to load/reload it, I have to use betterchatname without the "s" at the end. Otherwise it says source not found.

 

rename it to betterchatname then. try that. If that does not work. I seriously don't know anymore

Please do something for disable prefix for players, its really useless for me and i'm sur than its not so hard.

And like i posted earlier, it can be really better if you do prefix with different color than names, like that :
