When i try to use the commands it won't work.
All i get is this:

grant user rustytimes betterchat.admin
Permission 'betterchat.admin' doesn't exist

 

The file I posted above goes into your oxide/data folder then the plugin goes into your oxide/plugins folder so make sure you have the script in the correct folder

 

Can I Possible get Help making a .json for Admin, Mod, Diamond, Gold,Silver, Regular?

Hey, recently clan tags weren't showing up for players. I made some changes today so that clan tags are visible, however now VIP tags are not showing up. Any suggestions of fixes would be fantastic! Uploaded my groups file for inspection

I just want the appropriate VIP tag to show up and clan tag to also show up beside name. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Oh I just discovered that there are 2 data locations in data folder for BetterChat, I must be using the old folder setup? Should i just be using the BetterChat.json file located in data folder instead? Should I got ahead and delete the BetterChat folder from data folder?

You need to fully update the plugin that means fully deleting all files from the old version

 

So im the owner of a server with better chat and when I add groups of "Admin,Player or default, and Owner" I remove default and admin and I log off and come on and talk in chat and I have all 3 in my name and it legit looks stupid and I remove it thinking oh it might go away no it keeps coming back how do I make it where I can give only 1 rank and thats it not this mulitple in one thing rank bullshit

upload the betterchat file from your data folder will fix it for you going to bed soon so this is faster

Okay, sure I can do that. Where is the new player database located? Is it possible to transfer the old VIP permissions into the new system? I did fresh install of BetterChat but cant find where player data is stored.

 

its in Data file no longer in the folder it previously was in. No way to transfer but fairly easy when looking at the default group its almost all the same very few changes

Do you still plan to add ignore functionality to BetterChat?

 

It was never planned to add such functionality directly to BetterChat 5. As BetterChat 5 was supposed to be modular and have the different features decoupled from the BetterChat core.

Feel free to create the ingore plugin and make it work with BetterChat's API. Though for that I will need to do a small change to the BetterChat hook, then it should be good to go.

I'll try to get to doing that change this evening.
