BetterChat

I had implemented support for all existant clans plugins and also other plugins up to BetterChat 4, but BeterChat 5 was supposed to be clean, simple and modular without specificly working with specific plugins and BetterChat having to handle everything. Since BetterChat 5, other plugins will have to handle those things themselves.

 

iv installed the other clan thing but it now shows [#5af papa /#]

 

What game? What BetterChat version?

 

Fixed it it I needed to change it from #5af to #55aaff

 

How do i remove/change how the Default [Player] sign looks like,my name is Currently [Admin] [Player] f5ke i wanna remove the [Player] one

Could you please please please add the profanity filter back into this plugin as all available plugins to do the job WILL NOT WORK with BetterChat I've already had to sacrifice Quest's because is does not work with BetterChatMute

i am trying to do /chat add user ------- ✪gold through sdonate and i get this error in console


Failed to call hook 'CmdChat' on plugin 'BetterChat v5.0.5' (InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object)

 

Don't use that through SDonate. Instead use "oxide grant group ✪gold betterchat.group. ✪gold" through console.

Also don't use / as the command is being pushed through console. That's a chat command.

asoon as i use the betterchat group manager to change the colour of the group names and put the file back into my data folder i get that error which i listed earlier

 

I assumed you were setting up packages, so it's best to assign them to groups rather than issue individual commands. If you wish to do it your way you would need to use the following: chat user add "{{VAR=STREAMID}}" ✪gold

 

when i use that command which you just stated i get this error in console.

Try assigning a user a chat group without a symbol in-game. (Troubleshooting)

Just re-read what you said above. Group Manager is not up to date and it hasn't been for awhile.

 

ive got the symbols to work now but when i try and use the group manager to change the colour of the symbols and i put the .json file back into my data folder and try to add a player to the group that error occurs :/

Edited the post above just as you posted. (Group Manager has been out of date for months). Delete your betterchat.json in data and reload BetterChat. Add them from in-game using chat group add 'name' and then edit the data file for customisation.

It does affect you assigning a group to someone if .data file is written incorrectly and the references don't match because of an out of date version of Group Manager. To clarify the developer has not updated Group Manager in short, it does say this on the front page too.

You would still need to use: chat user add "{{VAR=STREAMID}}" ✪gold

As you can't just tell console the the word use. Just so you're aware the steamid variable wouldn't work outside of SDonate. You would need to use $player.id

"ClanTagFormat": "[{Clan}] {Name}"

This line is no longer in the the BetterChat.json and you can not see Clans on the server. When I put the line in and reload the plugin you still can not see players Clans they belong to in chat looking back at the json file it has remove the line again. Weirdly though you can see the clan you are in next to your player name when you view your inventory!

Can anyone help?
