Is this version still operational?

I've read through the above comments, and seen the part where someone asked how to add permissions to use the backpack- i've typed what you replied and the server window and console say the backpack.use permission doesnt exist? am i doing something wrong?

Also, for new players joining my server, do i have to add individual permissions for each user, everytime someone joins, or do they automatically become part of the 'player' group?

Yes the Plugins is working fine
you need to add the permission to default which is all players ie
grant group default backpacks.use

and add this for you Admin
grant group admin backpacks.admin

almost forgot also I would leave this as is
"Drop On Death": true,
as I've found out if you set this to false when the player respawns after death he still has his backpack with all his goodies in there

I'm currently noticing road textures messing up since activating permissions for default, is this common?

 

Plugin has nothing to do with textures in the game mate

 

can we have a command to rest the backpack data of players?

 

go to oxide/data/BackPacks. all players backpacks are stored in there.

yes i know where they are located but it would be nice to have a command that resets the data after a wipe which would make it easier than deleting the folder and reloading the plugin

make a group for VIP ONLY

you can use these commands in RCON

1. group add <VIPGroupname> without the <> of course.

Then set the permission to it:
2. grant group VIPGroupname Permission

Then to allow a player to use that group for vip you add them to it manually

3. usergroup add playername/steamid64 VIPGroupname


If you use Betterchat, it tells you how to set up groups in the FAQ on their overview page.

Set option while editing zone:

noboxloot true/false => prevent players from looting boxes.

noboxloot "false" will not allow backpack to be opened in zone since its a box.

yes my server players found a dupe glitch too i had to take it out.

Players have made this glitch on my server to duplicate items.

Put an item in the backpack, put it back in its inventory.
Another player, placed in front of you, will then have to open his backpack.
This will create a bug! Your backpack will close.
Open your backpack and your item will duplicate (x2)

Ex: 20 C4 = 40 C4
40 C4 = 80 C4 etc ...
