  1. @wazzzup I have enabled the Halloween event via convar but unfortunately they are classed as players to the game so when players attack the murderers back the protection starts dropping (penalised) is there anyway to ignore the murderers with this plugin so players can still defend themselves against them?
     
  2. well, not now, it was supposed to work only with humannpc
     
  3. hmmm ok. will have to disable this then as it's not fair to loose protection defending against an npc lol Will check back for updates as the idea is great for new comers to any server :)

    Hi @wazzzup,

    This plugins work perfectly just after fresh installation. But then I got a little bit issue since restarting the server. All of my player get a start protection one more time after restart server no matter what they a new comer or not. I think this isn't fair. Is there any configuration about this matter ?
    Also, I tried to change iTime to 3600 and reload plugins. Seems that doesn't work for me.
    Time protection still on 1800 sec.

    Any clue ?
     
  5. well, if your player hadn't spent all the time, he can do it after reconnect
    it you want to change time, I think you should stop the plugin, edit the config, delete the data files and then load the plugin, editing just config won't add time to current players

  7. Have you had any chance into looking at this plugin ignoring the Halloween/Scientist NPC's by any chance? I'll pay you to sort it if that will give you the motivation. Also by reading CVC's post it seems on a server restart that protection is granted again to all players? If so could that be sorted too?
     
  8. the protection don't start again, but prolongs, say, you spent 10minutes of 30minutes protection and leave, then, after rejoining, you have another 20 minutes
    and yep, I'm lazy enough to include this in plugin :p
     
  9. Yep that's totally understandable and I totally agree that is how it should be, from what I read by CVC's post it was "re-giving" the protection even to those the time had well expired by upon a server restart ;)

    As I say I am willing to pay you IRL money to get the halloween/scientist ignore incorporated as I do really want this plugin but only if those NPC's are ignored especially as I can see FP releasing the scientists sooner rather than later :)

    Yep hes right.
    Seems that is only notification or something ? When I test my server after restared. Notification may appear but when I try to /sp time. I have not the protection anymore.
    Sorry not to report, im kinda busy with work life here :)

  12. Hello, may I submit a pull request or ask here to add some code/fixes?

    First of all, it displays "-5 minutes left" message.
    Next addition I'd like to add is a compatibility with a BotSpawn plugin which would prevent targeting bots on a protected player
     
  13. it'wll recieve bot compatibiliy next update, but I think not for "not targeting protected player", cause it'll be not fair that players could still kill NPCs whlie being protected, other phings you could write here or PM me

    It will be fair because they will be punished for that.

    Do you have a repository on GitHub or somewhere else? I would submit a pull request and you would see what are proposed changes and it would be possible to accept / decline those changes.
     
  15. Yeah I don't think it's fair for a new player defending themselves from an NPC (PVE Entity) to be punished for it, when this plugin is to protect against PVP. You are punishing people for defending against Environmental factors just like if they defended themselves against a Bear and got punished it wouldn't make sense and make people leave the server which is what I do NOT want. This plugin is to protect against PVP not against PVE.

    If this is the direction in which you are taking the plugin to punish for any defending action against PVE I will cancel the donation as I want no part of that.
     
  16. You didn"t understand, protected people won"t be punished for killing bots, thats will be implemented, but if I understood correctly, victor wanted another thing

  18. The scenario is the following. Player wants to build his base and he doesn't want to hurt anyone when he is protected. But bots on my server are spawned on some RTs where the player needs the access to (Recycler, for example). Since bots are pretty aggressive, they will be shooting at the player which should be protected. So basically I just request for 1 API call which I'd use in BotSpawn plugin (I'm going to request relevant changes there too :) ).

    And also I propose some small changes in displaying messages. So in order to help to improve this, as sometimes it shows a negative amount of time, I reset it to zero in my changes and show "You are not protected message" and play some visual and sound effect :) Just try :)

    It doesn't break existing functionality.
