Suggestion:
=========
... use more then 1 Light same Time (actually you can use only the last Light, that I've set with /sl add)
... use on Night only set ON / OFF with Scheduler
... settings for TargetNear (actually the Target must be very close to the Light it turns on)

This is an awesome idea! Any chance you'd be able to add permissions functionality to it? I have certain groups I'd like to give this to, but not everyone.

whats the default setting for this once i add this mod to the server? are search lights set to all?

 

By default, they do not auto convert. In order to make them target, you use /sl add on the lights you wish to convert.

 

OK thank you, i'll try it.we are low pop server and having to have a man actually use it make it useless maybe this will help players use more in-game items.

added this yesterday and its great for our low pop server, any chance of a request to add in on admin side to set time of day they function, no need for them to spot during the day and burn low grade

I am working on this now, as of right now I have them activate at sunset and deactivate at sunrise, with no need to set times in the configuration file. How does that sound?

 

thats great if thats just the default, no need for spotlight to track heli during the day ha

 

It won't be on by default, but there will be a new option in the config called "Night Only Operation" that will need to be set to true.

 

Oohh is there a way to set it up so it plays a sound on detect? or sends a message to you via PM chat (plugin)?

to the owner, but obviously you'd want them to be in proximity of the activated search light to be notified.

 

I will look into a small sound similar to that of a turret, but no promises. lol
