/map showheli <true|false> - Enables or Disables Helicopters from showing on the Map & Minimap

It works at the normal map, but not on mini-map!

 

So here's my experience and an issue I'm having:

I have spent the past 48hours working with the UK server host MultiPlay to try and get the complex-map working. (As they don't allow FTP into their servers for security.)
I have tried external FTP hosting, multiple file-types, and everything I can think of.. It just refuses to work.

So I have given up on complex mode. Now "normal" mode or non-complex, works fine for me and my friend, however some players on the server are telling me they do NOT see the map when pressing "M" - The just see a black screen and the green cross.

At this point I use this plugin solely for that ability, to press M, and get a static image with your location at the time:

I use the following url, this has been set via "/map url LINK" - confirmed in place in the JSON file, and I have confirmed that my players can access the URL in a web browser:

Despite the above image, I see a much paler version in-game (see below):

Any ideas on why my player's can't see the map, and why it's not displaying as the link provides?

From your description it sounds like you are using an older version of the plugin? i guess because you had issues with uploading the icons to your server?

There was a bug for some server host with the old plugin where the map would not load, a workaround was to remove the http:// part of the link to your map. might as well give that ago and see if it works.

The paler image is a limitation of the ui system and the old way the plugin would download the map, this is fixed in the new version.

Never thought to check the versions (They claim to keep all plugins up to date)

Looks liked you nailed it - They have version 1.0.24 on their approved list (I see you're on 1.1.3 by now), I guess as you're the developer you need to contact them to update it?

Well if they dont give you any access to the file system then this plugin isnt going to be suitable for them...

I would just try removing the http:// from your map url, that should at least get that version working...

 

I have removed the http:// and nothing has changed map-wise.

I think I can get it working if I point theMapComplexURL in the json file at an external FTP site (like Index of /map32x32)
I have already had them put the LustyMap folder & contents in the /Oxide/data/ path as they do this for you if you raise a ticket with them, but this didn't resolve anything when I was speaking to them.

If you don't think this will do it then I'll leave it at that, you designed it so I won't argue with you about your own product xD

 

You can add Supply Drop? And also viewing of friends

 

There is another problem after the new Update. Now you can see heli and plane at normal map und mini map. Great But if i logged on to my server, i can't see the minimap. I can see my pointer and compass. But i must first change to the big map with "M", and then i can see the minimap too.

Hi all
I followed your guide but it doesnt work anyhow - ingame it just says 'unknown command' when I type /map and 'M' does nothing. I restarted the server after uploading the files.. any suggestion will be much appreciated.

Map and minimap is ok but not visible player position, heli and plane.

 

It is working but the map is Black with little white names for the caves and monuments, Any idea what I forgot?
I am just doing the basic map, not the fancy version

when I join the server I cant see <<< >>> buttons for minimap but if I press M I can see button is it normal?

Your single image mod not works, tried everything, not worked.

I uploaded a png in /data/LustyMap/custom/ MAP.png and MAP2.png

Tried /map addimage MAP
my map is in json, but /map images don't laod image... Tried to reload the plugin, same issue.

 

Can you say me your server ip or name

 

The addimage command is to let you use your own custom icons when creating new locations on the map, is that what you are trying to do?
