  1. I could be wrong, but wouldn't the command be:
    /copy CHWallz mechanics building
    Rather than just:
    /copy CHWallz

  2. You don't need to add mechanics building because per overview "buildings" is the default.

    mechanics building/proximity - default building

  3. Please help... What am I doing wrong? I copied my base then when I paste it back somewhere half is above the ground and the other is under ground when you go noclip.
    Thank you

  4. It would be great if this plugin allowed for a copy only mode for non-admins. People could save their designs on build servers to open in Fortify or load into their own server later. Not sure where the json should be saved on the clients computer.

  5. You would need to prevent people from copying other peoples bases. Someone could literally copy someones base that they want to raid, and study it on their own server, or in fortify.

The only way would be to require authorization on all TC's in the building, and/or building ownership and friends.

  6. It would be an optional mode, that should only be enabled for build servers.

  7. @Reneb could you add it so that Placeback can be used as a console command so we can paste even if we aren't ingame? :)

  8. came here to ask for this. its a good idea!

  9. Can you create permissions for the following:

deployables true/false - default true - set to paste the deployables
inventories true/false - default true - set to paste the inventories

I also would like a new feature called timer that allows you to give this command to people based on time or uses (1 use or 10min of use).

I need them because I want to use the mod as a contest prize.

  10. Use the height argument in your paste ("/paste BUILDINGNAME height XX"). The plugin always tries to put your lowest base at sea level (zero height) and if you paste it at a higher elevation, you need to adjust it. Just takes a bit of trial and error to get it right, use "/undo" if it's not good and add or subtract to the height ## until you get it perfect. Or if you are pasting it in the same place on the same world seed, use "/placeback BUILDINGNAME" instead to put it back excactly where it was.

  11. Thank you

  12. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? When I copy a building and paste it else where the walls are missing and the items just hover! Where are my walls?

  13. Hi, impossible to copy anything, since yesterday, the same error appears all the time:
object reference not set to an instance of an object

Someone would have any idea ? It is urgent enough to save buildings before Thursday ...

    Thanks

  14. What you see is what I copy vs how it pastes. Any ideas?

  15. Yeah same problem here...just found out after some extensive overhauls on my spaceship... :p Guess it and possible some other plugs got broken after last update... oxide moved their install location as well...could have something to do with it. Hope it's fixed in time before wipetime.. fingers crossed.. :)

  16. Based on what people are talking about with code locks, and the fact that when pasting, all my code locks are unlocked, I wonder if it has something to do with that.

EDIT: Console says it's to do with doors!

[Copy Paste] Trying to paste assets/prefabs/building/door.hinged/door.hinged.top
tier.prefab send this error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

  17. Definitely has something to do with codelocks! Made a new 1x1 and added door.. CAN COPY. Added codelock=ERROR. So if it's not fixed by end of today I guess my only option is to remove all locks to save the rest of it.

  18. Could you please fix the crash-issue while trying to copy BIG buildings? I do not get any errors or such, the server stalls until I restart.

  19. Yeah i have the same. It happens only if i try to copy some big building, that already exist on map. If i build a new 1x1 i can copy it with no problem.
I hope this can be solved before forced wipe will come. To build all my base again is gonna be a huge challange :).

    Edit:
I just removed all code locks - about 60 - and guess what? I successfully copied whole huge building. So this is kind of solution.

  20. Did you try with and without locks? For me that was definitely the issue. I gradually built and upgraded a new 1x1 and could copy it right up until i added the codelock. Try with a small new build first and if it works you have to decide if it's worth the hassle to remove all locks to save everything else.. Thankfully I didn't add that many to my build yet, so since there is still no fix, I'm going in to remove them now.

EDIT: Removed locks, copy ok. It's all there when I imporrt it into fortify, but for some reason halfway buried... don't think it will be a problem when pasting back into the game because of the height-argument, but it's the first time I've seen that happen from rust to fortify, so definitely a bit weird as well. But at least it seems you should be able to get a copy before wipe if you built something you really want to keep.
