  1. Question, does w/e armor they are wearing actually apply to them or is it mainly for cosmetic and drops and their health is just a base number?
     
  2. and if the latter is true is there a way to add an option to disable dropping of armor? Also just things I'd love to see would be changing the firing rate for AI, and have a loot table for drops. Love your plugin, ty.
     
  3. I've run into another problem I've discovered. I have the respawn timer set to 600 across the board. But they are all coming back in less than 3 minutes. Sometimes instantly. What can I do to fix this? I've updated the config.
     
  4. Is Reset, set to true? If so Im pretty sure it will go by reset timer time instead of respawn time per landmark. Dont quote me on it though
     
  5. Reset timer isn't the same as respawn timer.

    Respawn is per monument and is the length of time before a bot returns, after being killed.

    Reset is exactly that - As if you had reloaded the plugin.
    It's a temporary counter-measure against the bots all just wondering off and having a party on a hill somewhere, which they tend to do.

  7. If respawn timer for a monument is set at 10 seconds, any bot there will respawn 10 seconds after death.

    When the reset timer runs out every bot on the map will be killed/removed and will instantly respawn at his monument.

    The two are unrelated.
     
  8. So everything is at 600. Reloaded the plugin and reset the server just to be sure. They seem to be working proper now. Was I reading right when I saw there was a setting to disable backpacks?
     
  9. Setting everything at 600 is effectively disabling individual respawn. Is that your intent?
    I.E no bots will respawn after death, but the plugin will basically reload after 600.

    Yes, there is a config option to disable backpacks.
     
  10. Not really no. I just want to give people time to loot after killing the bot. What would be a good general combination? And what line do I need change to disable the packs? Sorry for all the questions. I really love this plugin. I just feel like I keep breaking it. lol
     
  11. So whats the difference between reset and suicide?
    Can you clarify please? You have a reset and suicide in main section (which are the same thing?) then respawn per monument. I thought it would control the respawn of a dead bot per monument.
     
  12. I think we've covered reset and respawn.

    The suicide timer is for bots who don't ever respawn.
    That's /botspawn toplayer, and bots which come with an airdrop.

    Because they're a 'one-off' there's no need to have respawn options for them.
    The suicide option is there to eliminate the possibility of them building up and up in numbers over time.
     
  13. So if my general respawn is 600 I should set my reset to 1200 or 1800. When I had it set to 300 they were coming in a lot faster than 5 minutes. That's why I turned it up so high.
     
  14. As I say, the global reset is just to put all the bots back where they're meant to be. So set that at 5-10 minutes or something?
    Respawn timer....Set that to whatever you think is long enough to loot an area safely.

    If I come to your airfield and kill the five patrol bots, I guess I want 2-3 minutes at least to snoop around unthreatened.

    Suicide timer can be higher, if you use the airdrop option.
    As I say, that's just to prevent bots building up and up. If no one's there to kill them and there's an airdrop every hour, you're adding X bots per hour to the map, see? They need to be guaranteed a death, IMO.

    The backpack option is in global config options - Remove_Backpacks.
    If it's not there you need to either update the plugin, or let the plug create a new config.
     
  15. Thank you. I think I got it. Sorry for the hassle. I'm just scrambling with this and a few other plugins before I log off and do a dinner thing. But I think I have it now.

  17. i think adding more option in the config, is where its at. love having as many option available to fine tune the plugin. i still am running your plugin on my bot battlefield server its its been doing great. even sine facepunch disabled the navmesh
     
  18. So, I was in a server where the bots were using swords. I tried to get mine to do the same but all they do is look at you. How do I get them to attack with melee weapons? I see that it says Dont use Melee weapons but ive seen it done.

  20. Yes, those NPCs can and will use swords. The Scientists will not.
