You dont give someone a rank you put them in a group the default one that the server auto adds them to is player

 

can some plz tell me where im going wrong here?

im an admin on my server and when i type in chat a get a double message one says my name with message and the other says admin my name and message any way i can get rid of one of them so my chat doesnt have double messages evertime i say something

 

my better chat not recognized me as admin, what should i do?

 

Hi! How do I add my own groups? I have admin but I want like owner and co-owner and stuff.

 

You just add them to the config but make sure you change the rank number

 

I did but it still doesn't work.

did you use usergroup add "username" admin?

 

Check your config on this site in case of any errors JSONLint - The JSON Validator.

 

It says it's a valid JSON.

 

Good and what group are you in

 

The owner group.

 

ok and when in game if you type something do you see the owner tag?

do you have 2 chat plugins?

 

then you are not in the owner group if you dont see the tag
Check oxide.groups.data and oxide.users.data with notepad++ to see what is going on just make sure you dont edit anything in the file you are only taking a look to see whats there

run these two commands in rcon
usergroup remove Volfng player
usergroup remove Volfng admin
If you still dont see the tag in game restart the server if it still does not work pm me your skype info

You can't have both the plugins at the same time. The way oxide is, makes it so that it's either BetterChat or StickyChat. So remove the one you don't want, restart your server, and boom you should be okay!
