Hi Guys i need help.
Ive installed the plugin but i can add players in groups. it says me....the groupe "username/steamid" doesnt exit?!?

I'm having trouble with this. I'm trying to add VIP tags, but it always shows "[TEST] PlayerName: message". The permission vip.silver exists and I've made sure that the group "player" does not have that permission. The style I'm aiming for should look like "[TEST] [Player]: message"

Once another Title next to the Player title is there, the player title is removed.

 

So why does it add the tag to the player's name if they don't have the permission (vip.silver)? :\

 

hey, nice plugin! But... If I install it I got every group I added..? And if I re install it its still the same problem... I uninstalled the config and the plugin but Idk... I downloaded it a few seconds ago and still... PLz help :c

 

You are in the groups then. Remove yourself from the groups
Type following in console:
oxide.usergroup remove ChaotMc <group>

where <group> is the group you want to be removed from

 

thats exactly what I did :/... 4 example oxide.usergroup remove ChaotMc Admin and I dont wants to work... Idk why? In the console it says "[Oxide] 6:29 PM [Info] User '[BeTa] ChaotMc(76561198122016705)' removed from group 'Admin'" but in the Chat I m still the Admin...?

 

the group is called 'admin'. Not sure if it is case-sensitive. You should try that.
If that does not work, revoke your permissions:
oxide.revoke user ChaotMc betterchat.admin

 

okay ty , it worked for 2 groups but I still got too much :/ there's one selfmade group called "mod" and "streamer"... I cant remove them with "oxide.revoke user ChaotMc betterchat.mod" or "oxide.revoke user ChaotMc betterchat.Mod" ?

I have issue with permissions for groups because i think the rank system this chat uses, i have a vip with perms but i added him to mod so he has vip and mod but as mod is higher rank he no longer has vip perms. If i set vip higher then now he dont have mod perms... Please hellp

Does BetterChat now have built in MUTE? so I no longer need the optional mute LUA based mod?

if so does it work with group permissions so I can assign players who can use mute.

Current BetterChat's Mute does not have timing. So if you'd like timed muting you'd need to use ChatMute

oxide.show user ChaotMc

And see what permissions and groups you have, which you don't want to have.

 

How do i add myself to a rank ? Like owner for example.

Thanks LaserHydra, how hard would it be to add the following:

1. Timed Mute
2. permissions to use Timed Mute - separate from Mute Ban/Unban? I want Owners to do Bans and assigned mods a timed mute
3. Max time for a time mute in the config file in minutes so I can set limits like 1400 minutes for 1 day

this plugin would be good if there is /ignore and /mute nick "reason" I have some muted people and I don't know reason because some I want to unmute and some don't.

 

One more request

- since it is hard to detect aimbots, can you have it so that we can optionally log things like HeadShots and optionally change the color so HeadShots are empathized in chat text?
