If you don't run the rcon command server. writecfg after running the rcon command to give yourself admin it won't work you will still be a player once you have done both then you add yourself to the admin group then you will have the correct title if you have ran the command to add yourself to the admin group yes, you are in that group, but if you did not run the server. writecfg after running the command to give yourself auth 2 then you are not an admin but only in the admin group but only have player permissions

I gave it to both him and myself in users.cfg, so when I restarted the server we were given it automatically, it gave me it, but not him.
-
If he is not in the users.cfg as ownerid then run the ownerid command again then run server.writecfg then get him to relog
-
When I started the server, I put myself in users.cfg, restarted server and I had my chattag, colour, and permissions.
2 days later, I put him in users.cfg, restart server, he has permissions but no chattag or colour. -
-
Nevermind I derped out, managed to fix it.
Is there anyway to give different users of the same group a different chattag and color?
Say he and I are both in admin, he wants a tag saying admin I want mine saying something else. Is this possible? -
Remove yourself from admin group then add yourself to what group you want
-
-
none of my tags are working but the default player tag, every time i try to grant a player a tag it says the permission doesn't exist.
Fixed it -

Hi,
Was wondering if you would be able to help me with something.
I am trying to config some of the plugins from oxide, in this case "BetterChat"
I have read the threads online but don't seem to see what I am after.
Question is this,
Looking at the BetterChat script,
"admin": {
"ConsoleFormatting": "{Title} {Name}: {Message}",
"Formatting": "{Title} {Name}<color={TextColor}>:</color> {Message}",
and
"moderator": {
"ConsoleFormatting": "{Title} {Name}: {Message}",
"Formatting": "{Title} {Name}<color={TextColor}>:</color> {Message}",
These to me suggests that this plugin pulls information from another plugin that is meant to contain permissions for each player.
The Admin tool we are using is "RustAdmin"
Where is the plugin trying to pull the player titles from (admin, owner and player etc)
I have been having issues with other plugin that have similar scripting.
I saw this thread - Solved - Streamline server config files - owner / moderator group? | Oxide
However I am not able to make sense here.
Is there meant to be a cfg file already on the server that I am able to edit as I add more admins/mods, or am I meant to manually create the cfg file for adding these?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks -

How does it detect who are the admin/mod and players though.
I have added myself as an admin and added another person as owner on the users.cfg file located within the server files.
However when i send a message in game, it associates me with the [Player] Tag instead of the [Admin] tag. -
