I can't get this to work. whenever I try to mute it says no permission. I am in admin group but it does not work.
Permissions:

• betterchat.formatting for the usage of formatting tags like <color=orange>
• betterchat.mute to mute and unmute players

This does not work at all. it says unknown command. I need this mute to get to work.

 

Hello guys. I have 3 Ranks that I've incorporated into BetterChat. These ranks are [VIP], [VIP+], and [SUPERIOR]. I added owner and admin but thats default soo.

Anyhow. I added one of my friends to VIP and he has the VIP tag. Then I tried adding him to [SUPERIOR] and it shows his name whenever he talks as having both ranks.

ex. [VIP][SUPERIOR] Francis: Hey this spawn is crappy

How do I put him in one rank? DO I have to remove him from a rank first?

And also, this is slightly unrelated but how do I add groups in rust? I want to add oxide groups so I can do kits for each respectable rank. Please help! Thanks for looking!

 

Remove him from the vip group then. BetterChat will always show all tags the player has.
Console Command: usergroup remove Francis vip

To create a new oxide group:
group add mygroup
[DOUBLEPOST=1453481223][/DOUBLEPOST]

That is no console command. These are permissions.
You grant them to a player using the console command
grant user RussaX betterchat.mute

okay I updated to the newest version of betterchat and for some reason it says none of my titles have the permissions they say they do, like color_owner doesn't exist when it did before, and for some reason to get previous users ranks to work i had to add them to a group named after their permission and it worked. so im really confused at whats going on here. here is my config if anyone can tell me whats going wrong.

I switched to the one you sent me and it still says permission doesn't exist like i tried
oxide.grant user godankorgohome owner

I get owner permission doesn't exist.

 

when you install the plugin it will auto add the permissions to each group permmisions go into groups not users

 

oh so it creates a group with the permission and you add the person to the group?

I have all tags on my server because i gave my self all permissions....

 

revoke the permissions from yourself.
Console Command: oxide.revoke user V7 betterchat.GroupPermission
replace "GroupPermission" with the permission of the group you want to be removed from.
