BetterChat

When I join my server It automatically puts me into the Admin rank, why is that? And how do I turn it off?

So i've recently installed BetterChat after seeing the wonderful work done on PlayerChallenges.

Im struggling to get two two to play ball - realistically speaking Id quite like it set to be

[PlayerChallenges rank(s)]            |               [Usergroup ]   [Clan]   [Username]

The division in the middle also being separate colours. (playerchallenges one colour - usergroup/clan/username being another)

also; rust admin isn't playing ball with displaying general chat online.

The chat keeps lagging alot. How can i fix this?

Also; is there a way to remove EVERYONE from every group and put them back in default - I have people that are in multiple PlayerChallenger groups that they should be in.

 

You'd propably need to do a plugin for that.

You can't really put the Player Chalanges ranks in seperately. You can make it show on the left side though by making its Priority value the highest.

I am having issues removing a player from a group. The command tells me The player was removed, But he still is in it.

I typed chat user remove "Zindith Kaltor DragonHeart" player

Says he was removed, But he still very much in that group

Do I need to do something else?

 

the group is called default and all players are meant to be in it if you have another group that is called player and I mean the GroupName then delete it

Any reason that the tag changes color as it's supposed to, but the actual player name doesn't? Even when they're both set to use the same colors.

 

Couldn find an answer, logs arent saving anywhere? i would like to change from another chat plugin to this one, but cant set the logs :S thx laser

Sorry, but I can't (I don't have the time) provide fixes for all kinds of old versions.

Could you tell me why you do not want to update? I'll try to improve your situation so you feel safe to update.

Make sure you are using the latest version. That one should work just fine.

 

I have a huge list in the configs and some players have their own tags and permissions, updating the plugin and re-doing that will take ages.

I use the older version and I get the error:
Error while compiling BetterChat.cs(472,77): error CS0117: `ConsoleSystem' does not contain a definition for `Broadcast'

 

Tried both ways, none worked.
