Better Chat [Replaced]

The whole reason i have been posting my question because there hasnt been a fix. Ive tried this like i stated in a previous post and it does not fix my problem. The plugin itself works like the groups and such but, the colors/prefixes do not work in the chat...

 

This is an issue on your end then because it is working just fine for me. Yield I quit using this plugin today because it breaks my chat to hell, but it works.

 

I need to figure something out i need this mod lol, i deleted all my plugins and had just this one and it still didnt work, I'm not sure why reinstalling the mod doesnt fix it either.

 

@Kkthnx - I absolutely agree with you here man on the point you're making, in that people should read through and try to resolve their own issues.

The thing is that most of us have ready through the handful of pages that do exist, and are posting because we are clueless what to do next. Just because the mod works for you and doesn't for me it doesn't mean there isn't a problem. The biggest problem is finding the right way to diagnose the server and oxide together. I guarantee my server isn't setup the same as yours and if they're not the same, well somewhere in those changes lies the reason why yours works and mine doesn't

Not finding the answer as to why the mod isn't working for us is purely a technical issue of not providing enough accurate information to really get good quality help, so we're just stabbing our own feet here.

 

Both of you post your BetterChat.json config file, please.

Also please make sure you are updated to the latest oxide and your server is updated to version 21.

If you do not think it is. Safely shut it down then go into your panel and run the steam update and after that finishes, update your oxide. Keep your server down then go into /FTPADDRESS/oxide/config AND /FTPADDRESS/oxide/plugins |||| and delete anything that has to do with betterchat then load in the newly downloaded file I link above then start your server.

Advice.. Use a program to manage your FTP files. Filezilla and WinSCP is great for this.

 

Here is my json but, deleting everything and reinstall did not work.

 

I am not at home until 3rd January. Its hard for me to work on my plugins here because of Christmas with my family etc. I try to fix what I can anyways. Thanks again to @Wulf for providing fixes and support and Merry Christmas to you all.

Okay, try this. Does /reload BetterChat do anything in-game for you? Do this in chat btw not console. Try the below too.

/usergroup add Blayse Admin

 

ok reloaded the plguin, added myself to the group says ive been added to the group but, still no prefixes or colors in chat.

 

What happens if you do it in this order.

1. Type: /group add admin THIS MIGHT SAY GROUP IS ALREADY THERE.
2. Type: /grant group admin color_owner
3. Type: /usergroup add Blayse admin

 

still nothing ;/

Hmm... looks like im getting a new error
