Backpacks

Well I got it to finally work again, however, I was trying to do what @-={U.S.P}=- DOCTROS did and move it to the right. In the Rust settings before/after you load into the game, you can change your UI Screen to something smaller. In this case, like me, and many others that like to have the screen smaller or the UI smaller, the backpack button would hover over the text field as you were trying to type and then you couldn't see what you were typing. I've included an example screenshot.

Thank you for helping out in the matter and providing your version of it. However, I install your script, and I can't get it to work, because now trying to add the permission won't work, says it does not exist now. Server restart maybe? I haven't had to before, I don't get why it won't recognize it this time.
[DOUBLEPOST=1471833446][/DOUBLEPOST]@-={U.S.P}=- DOCTROS this is what I'm getting now. Halfway through this trying to get it to work, I had deleted all files and tried to reinstall it, and still getting these errors. And yes it's in the same directory as all mods are in.

 

You need to use "backpacks.use" for permissions.

oxide.grant group abcd backpacks.use <----- for granting group abcd
oxide.grant group default backpacks.use <------ for granting everyone Backpack (default=Everyone).

You do not need to restart server, just remove the Backpack.json file from oxide/config folder and plugin from oxide/plugins folder. then reinstall plugin I posted. Let me know how it works out!

 

You saw in my picture after reinstall that I tried it with the oxide.grant option too right? And still got nothing?

So I deleted the files. Reinstalled the plugin, did the oxide.grant group default backpacks.use and still get the same error that the permission does not exist

 

Sure. Wrong permission, what if you maybe would check the original/official version which is actually from me and see whats the permission there? Exactly backpack.use

I'm sorry you are having issues with the file I uploaded. I'm just trying to help in any way I can. This file works for me without any issues. There are many variables/configurations that could cause some plugins to malfunction. Keep seeking the answer and I'm sure you will find the solution (This is how we all learn)!

 

@-={U.S.P}=- DOCTROS I totally agree with learning as we go! And I have been looking around. I just post results and what's happening too, to see if you or any other might have ideas where I may not be looking.

Does no one read the overview of this addon? This addon is MASSIVELY broken and the dev said he/she would eventually get around to fixing this addon but it is on the back burner.

This plugin currently has some major issues. I recommend not using it until its fixed.
