Solved Process for updating a plugin?

    Hello everyone, i'm pretty new to the whole server hosting on rust thing and i just had a quick question. I was digging through the forums and couldn't find an exact answer so maybe someone else can help.

    How do I go about updating my plugins? Do I just re-download the plugin and just overwrite the existing data through the ftp client like how I would install them? And if so would that delete my cfg files that I manually set for each plugin?

    Any and all help would be much obliged :)

    Download the updated version, upload it to your server, done. If there are any config changes, check the plugin's update notes. Generally nothing changes unless noted on the plugin's update info.

    Okay so a patch note that says hotfix probably isn't going to rewrite the cfg files then right?

    Unless it mentions a change, unlikely. The only time your config files would reset is if the author makes a change that does so or if you didn't edit it right generally.
