Possible to place a block of water?

I know that you can replace a block (or blocks) with air. It is an easy way to get rid of something that is in your way. What I am wondering is there a way to replace (or just place) a block of water?

Would love to be able to make a pool in my base .. lol

 

Unfortunately not. Terra-forming was possible in early alpha, but not anymore.
