StartProtection

It is broken. I can not wake up. My net connection is lost everytime, when I try to wake up. I deleted the plugin, now everything is fine.

 

It's not working anymore on my server as well... Worked fine until the game update on thursday

 

Just checking if this plugin is still working please. A read of the past few pages seem to imply that it's no longer active? Prove me wrong please, as it sounds a great plugin!

Thanks for the reply. I got the impression reading through the questions, that some people wanted a Ferrari when the plugin offered a simple yet effective bicycle for the trip up the road.

 

It was just what you wanted: Start Protection! Perfect for me when it used to work.

 

Been reading the last several posts and I'm wondering: does the plug-in still work? I've pulled it from my server, but not sure if I should have. Is the developer still supporting it?

From my understanding, it should just give a player a limited protection for the first several minutes (as set in the config file) unless they start attacking other players (also set in the config file). That's it. This is a great feature for newer players and those who don't like spawn campers.

If anyone would share any available info, it would be appreciated.

 

So can anyone design a plugin where a new player who joins a server can be protected from raids and stuff for like 6 days or something? So they can actually build without their base getting destroyed by other players right away? Thanks!!

 

I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted to...I was looking for something to protect players in their cupboard range for a set amount of time. I like "Home Protection" and "Damage Controller" but they don't provide a timer I can set. I would like to allow new players to build and then after their time is up (maybe like a week or so) then their base is fair game for other players to raid. Does that make sense what I am trying to do? Thanks for the help!

 

Could you add a timer for when a player first joins to your Home Protection? Sorry I think that is your plugin..Only problem is it needs to be updated, it provides protection outside of cupboard radii. That would be perfect and simple.

According to my admin team this plugin made everyone invulnerable and threw up anti hacks. Apparently the only way to kill someone was via shotguns or with incendiary rounds.

I cannot back this up with evidence as I told them to unplug it before it caused any further disruption to the server.

I hope to reinstall this plugin in the future as it is a fantastic idea and I think most servers would benefit from such brilliance.

 

Many people are reporting issues with the plugin. Can anyone confirm if it's working or not?

 

Would love to have something like this in my servers. Its to bad it is no longer developed.
