ohhhhh i see, damn to be able to go into it i have to save it to my computer edit it and then reupload it to the server. any suggestions what software to use to edit dar file? sorry for all this hussle you been a massiv e help!

 

You cant edit a data file you must use rcon commands to add or remove permissions and groups

 

if you dont mind me asking last thing, what do you use to edit dat file

Basicly the image comes up all broken up, if possible i'll try to grab a screenshot of it in game so you can see exactly what i mean.

 

I've already checked the config file for this it did not solve my problem.

I recently installed SignArtists but I'm not sure how to let myself access it using chat commands I get "You Don't Have Permission to use this Command!"

Anyone have a fix for the "you need to get closer" issue. It's only a problem with certain signs in certain locations in the base. I have changed the distance setting to 50 which hasn't helped. I have tried it with admin powers on, which hasn't helped. I believe it is related to the problem with putting signs on walls which I recently started to experience in the game a few updates ago. You know when you can't put a sign on a wall anymore without moving chests out of the way, or tearing down the wall.

Or can anyone confirm they have the same issue?

I have solved it myself. If you look at the edge of a sign instead of the front of the sign, it finds the sign easier.
