I've been having a lot of fun with this mod! I was pulling hand drawn signs out of rustserver/server/my_server_identity/storage/png and modifying them to get the right size but that was a few updates ago and I no longer see that folder or files and I'm missing a few sizes. Anyone have the standard sizes of all the signs in pixels?
[DOUBLEPOST=1439424299,1439333633][/DOUBLEPOST]Based on discussions here and elsewhere, I understand that any images used will be resized and the ratio is the important part. In a day or two, I'm probably going to make one of each of the 4 signs and upload the result for anyone that wants to use them as a template. I have a few questions/comments before I get started though.
1) I've seen a few guesses on a few different ratios for signs. Anyone have a list of all 4 they feel strongly about?
2) I'm assuming the server will resize the linked image from sign artist a single time and save a copy (though as of about a week ago I can no longer find the folder they save to and I'm assuming it's no longer easy to access the images). That being said, I'd still like to make templates the native resolution and ratio in the first place. If anyone has server backups and could dig out one image for each sign size or just a whole handfull of images I'd be forever grateful. I only have one or two sizes in my old backups.
3) I'm not sure how recent, but someone posted in a thread that their base was causing substantial lag after wallpapering a large room with signs (I doubt the fact they were created with sign artist had anything to do with it if my assumption in 2) is correct. Is this still an issue? Did the devs optimize signs, taking the viewable folder away as part of the process?
Failing that, some advice on my workaround procedure would be welcome. I would probably start with the large sign, since I have an image from a hand drawn sign from an old server backup. I'd maintain the original resolution and resize/crop to other ratios to get the other signs and then check in-game to see if they're distorted.
Once again, thanks for making this plugin Bombardir! Oxide has so many interesting plugins and this is one of my favorites. -
when i use: /sil http://i.imgur.com/49z1Bp8.png

How Do I Skip The 2min Wait Time ?
-
If some groups should able to ignore the cooldown use oxide.grant group Groupname sil_url in your console or Admintool.
[DOUBLEPOST=1439459544][/DOUBLEPOST]
We're using pictures with 1600 x 900 and 1280 x 720 the most time for better results.
[DOUBLEPOST=1439459988][/DOUBLEPOST]
I was using all types of signs and searched images with 1600 x 900 pixels for each one.
So all images are saved with this resolution and wherent resized.
You can send me a pn of u want to look at the images and i can tell u whitch one was used at which kind of sign.
I have a screenshot in Steam using this images on my base too, i can show you. -
I Mean i do /sil <url> then i have to wait 2min
-
If you're admin from the Server u can use the commands ive written to deactivate the 2min cooldown.
example: if u as admin should the only one the cooldown isnt activating u have to go into your console and type oxide.grant user Maverick sil_cd
So the cooldown isnt activating when u put a picture on a sign using /sil url
If all admins should be able to ignore the cooldown u have to put oxide.grant group admin sil_url into your console
But look at your cfg first. theres a setting, how many pictures can be added to the loading queue. if reaching the limit there cant be added more pictures and u even have to wait till loading actually queued images loading is finished -
when i do oxide.grant group player cancustomimage it says permission dose not exist?
[DOUBLEPOST=1439542504][/DOUBLEPOST]
when i do http://i.imgur.com/49z1Bp8.png
i get image loading failed Error cannot resolve host: S; no data record of requested type -
The cancustomimage permission u have used isnt from this plugin, so it cant work^^
Here the permissions to use with funktions for chat:
sil_url to give users access to use /sil url on the server
sil_owner lets the player ignore the ownership of any sign (you can change pictures from signs you dont own)
sil_cd let you ignore the cooldown until next picture can added to loading queue
So try using oxide.grant group player sil_url to get it worked
[DOUBLEPOST=1439546145][/DOUBLEPOST]You even have to get this permission to all other groups if they should able to use the /sil command -

Hello! First of all thanks for this awesome plugin. Now to my question:
Is there a way to increase the cooldown of images?
I have set it to public but i only want players to be able to upload 1 picture every 24h. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance!Last edited by a moderator: Aug 17, 2015 -
Set "Command cooldown after url": 86400 in config. But plugin will reset all cooldowns on restart.

I tried Command cooldown after url 86400 it says, no command?Last edited by a moderator: Aug 17, 2015 -
