It's a Rust issue, they're working on finding a fix for it.

The protocol should be both 1178 for client and server, so I'm not sure how you are getting a mismatch.

Try the dev server branch. They just pushed a test update that may fix this and a couple other issues with spawning.

  5. yes I spawned correctly on the dev branch. guess we are waiting for a update?

  6. i got a 5mb patch client side sometime ago, it did not fix my issue on my server. I can log into other peoples vanilla servers just fine. I reinstalled the last update my GSP has given me and I still spawn underwater, underground as before. So is it a client side thing or a GameServer.com thing?

    Appears to be server sided.
Most freshly generated maps are having the issue.

If your host can switch to the latest dev build under the development branch, try that. It should fix the issue.

  9. I passed along the information to my GSP, I hope they at least attempt it. I guess time will tell.
[DOUBLEPOST=1421458243][/DOUBLEPOST]after re-reading the post, I am still getting the Checksum error clientside. I can log into server but thats when i spawn underground, inwater in the middle of the map under an airdrop tarp. I can then run to shore and get back on the ground but the map has no nodes of anysort. I am guessing but i think both are related to the checksum error that pops up in my client console during the end of the load.

  10. I've not seen this issue, get them to check the files are up to date and that they're using the latest Oxide patch. I saw missing objects/floating trees ect a few months ago but this was cleared up by fixing the command line. Tried a new seed and world size?

It's not Oxide related, it has to do with the recent Rust updates. Not all users have the issue, it just happens sometimes with new seeds/worlds. The Rust developers put out an update to the dev branch which has reportedly fixed the issue, but it hasn't been merged to the main branch yet as they are monitoring it a bit longer to determine if it is fixed for good.

The checksum issue should be resolved as well on both main and dev as of the last 2 updates from 1/16. Users will still seed the error in the console, but they won't be kicked as that was disabled in the Rust update.

  12. Hi,

i don't know but there was a 5MB Update some minutes after the release of 16012015-v5 , so oxide is currently outdated ?

Always downloading the "latest.zip" from Github

  13. Is the latest Oxide build 119 for the current version of Rust or the Experimental Branch ?
As it didnt work for me, but build 105 does work fine.
The error I had with 119 was "Failed to load extension Oxide.Ext.Lua (DllNotFoundException: lua52)"

  14. Hi,

having the same error with the latest oxide build. :(

    Edit:

try one version older, works at least for me:
