1. So is there a fix for this or just wait til the next Oxide update?

The issue is not with Oxide, it's from the Rust server install not being fully updated.

  3. I see what you're saying, it just doesnt seem to make sense that i can run the app update with validate, and start the server and the server runs just fine, minus oxide. Once i overwrite the updated .dlls with the .dlls included in the oxide .ZIP archive, server doesnt run and you're saying its rust. Thats why I'm a bit confused.
Should i just delete everything and start fresh? Or something else? I appreciate the feedback.

I'd make sure you have the latest version of Rust before installing Oxide. You can check this by starting the server and using the 'version' console command. After that is running fine, download the latest, compatible build of Oxide as shown in the Release Changelog on our site and install that.

  5. Ok that's what it was. Downloading from the Changelog.
I was download from the link on the upper right of the "Overview" page.
    Oxide for Rust | Oxide

After downloading the latest version at the end of the changelog, and installing that over a fresh update, server starts up fine.
So it boils down to using an old version of oxide on an updated version of rust. Dang.
Thanks for telling me about the Changelog and helping me through this!

More of an old version of Rust with a new version of Rust. ;) Oxide is a mod, it includes the specific version of Rust DLLs that it was patched for.
