Rust-Kits

I thought this was for new players so all they needed to do is type/kit starter or Food ect.
But it seems to be admin only authorizing and that wastes my time and if im not on they cat get anything.
Doesn't work anyway, all kits say redeemed but nothing shown in inventory.
Removing it from my server.

So I attempted to make a kit and I am admin. It gives me the "You do not have permissions". How do I get permissions?

 

Check the users.cfg file in your cfg folder and make sure you are set to ownerid and not mod

 

Im sure this has been answered many times but through the 200+ pages i cant find it. When i type inside my console on my dedicated server oxide.grant user "mysteamname" authlevel 1 or even "authlevel 1" i get the error permission doesnt exist. what am i doing wrong? thank you.

 

Thats because you are not doing the right command to give someone mod
in rcon type
moderatorid steamid64 "player name" "mod"
then server.writecfg
then get the player to relog

I run this server locally but i assume the console works the same as rcon. I have already done the server owner and moderator commands. This is the only mod i cannot get working correctly. When i am in the game and in chat the command /kit add or edit or any other one will not work i get the error that i do not have permission to do it. When i go into my console and try to run the command oxide.grant user i get the error that the permission doesnt exist. I'm not sure what i am missing or what i have to do to get the ability to edit or create kits. I did it a long time ago and now i need to edit my auto kit.

 

paste what you have in your users.cfg file (and point out what one is you if more than one) also if you updated the server files did you also reinstall oxide again

I found,
We just had to add the name of the kit

 

so ive just made a few kits on my server but im having trouble doing a daily kit can anyone help

 

You must have the items on your char before making each kit
After you make a kit with a permission it will have the kits. in front of it so for vip it will be Kits.vip for donator it will be Kits.donator just do what I posted below and it will auto add the Kits. in front of the permission.
The permission that you will now find in your kits.json file found in your oxide/data folder is what you will need to add to the new group you have set up for the special kit

Use whatever ones you need change the kit names if you need to the autokit leave that as it is

 

Not sure where to post this but what i've seen has not helped... Every time i do /kit add it says "you do not have access to this command" I have set my self to both owner and mod, just owner, and just mod...

 

You dont set yourself to owner and mod only owner

 

Hey, so i dont quite understand this, do i really need to add people to a group before being able to get these?
- Managed to get it all working, but only if i add players to a specific group, and tbh i cant be sitting on the server manually adding everybody to the group, is there an easier way than this?

 

You dont need to add anyone to a group only those kits that have permissions. Did you even look at my above post

 

Yes i did, but it seems like if i dont add permissions it doesnt give the items when they redeem.

 

So can you make the kit if yes and the kit names are there, then you have not added the items to the kit only the kit name follow my post above, it's easy if you are not sure how I will explain it for you
