Rules GUI

Hello, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I can't seem to make the config settings stick. My suspicion is that its lack of knowledge on my part and not the mod, but this is the mod I keep experiencing this issue with.

I host on nitrous networks and directly edit the rulesgui.json file in the oxide config folder, but every time the plugin is reloaded or the server restarts it sets it back to the default settings. I did a server.writecfg after, I've tried oxide.reload rulesgui, I've tried editing the the offline and uploading via ftp, I've tried server restart. All were performed without console errors.

I'm sure there is some noob 101 step I'm missing and hope you can point me in the right direction.

After you edit the config file do you save it?
It should look like
Open .json => edit t=> save and then oxide.reload RulesGUI

 

I have been doing that, yes. Just to make sure when you say "edit t" the "t" is a typo correct?

When I take the steps you have above, it has been resetting the config file to the default (I'm not touching the .cs file in the plugin directory which is when I would expect an overwrite to default settings.)

 

You should talk with your host as i dont see a reason why it would reset the config file after you do that.

Okay I will. Can you explain what edit t means? Does t just stand for text?

 

It was a typo.. jesus sry i just woke up.

 

So I uploaded PVP SERVER IMAGE to Imgur and it looks great both on my pc and on the hosted website... now I set it as the background for this addon and it looks like PVP Image Low... did I miss something or did the image go to shit? Any help with this?

I think that I found what I should change.. I will update in about 1hour if I manage to fix this.

Its just a warning.. simply use the permission "canuserulesto"

well i tried using the tags already there just adding more and it didnt work for example "<color=yellow>6.</color> <color=blue>Enjoy Your Stay </color>"

 

Well maybe the error is in another line Maybe you missed a / or a typo ... show me your config file with the tags that you tried to do.
