ok i have a question, In my config the first rank is New Guy but when im in-game the starting rank is Civilian how do i fix this? I tried creating the rank using the chat commands but i get a undefined error. This is my config just to show you. some things i added in manually.

 

Please read the update log. You need to delete your config file and reload the new plugin (v1.5.4) Your config is outdated and does not have the proper data.

 

Hey KillParadise. Love the idea of this plug in but i cant get it to work. I have changed all the values in the config to set up new titles and ranks. Onced saved it still shows the default civilian and wannabe etc titles. I have reloaded it. restarted server (just incase) How do I get rid of the default titles to the ones i created?

If your config files looks like the one Dreke posted then your config is also broken and needs to be rebuilt.
If you're just talking about default ranks that are set just change their names to whatever you want. You need at least 1 rank or the plugin will not properly work. If you don't want rank titles to display in game in the config set the "dropRank" setting to true this will turn off the display of rank titles but keep stat tracking turned on.

Can you have a look at this to see what ive done wrong please.

 

In your config on line 54, and line 63 you have a double comma.
On lines where you've added your own ranks you do not have a commas separating the objects (this is the reason your new ranks are not showing up as they are not being counted/used). Add a comma to these and make sure to remove the extras or they will throw errors.
Which is causing json errors.
Here's a slick tool I like to use when validating my json to make sure its valid: http://jsonlint.com/

I fixed all the errors and attached the file, this one should work for you. Just replace the current config with this one. Just remember Json formatting! or use the /rt create command to build new ranks in game (this process takes longer but builds ranks into the config automatically for you) and maybe I can add a command to build a basic skeleton in the config for owners to edit simply. Who knows, hope this helps you though!

 

"-Added ability to edit default chat color" Where Can I edit this, All names and what not are set but the text is a light brown and hard to see at times.

 

There is no way to change actual chat color, however it appears I accidentally left my chat color change in when I uploaded the latest update, check out the bottom of the script there's a color tag around the message of you change this to a different color it will work. I'll fix this when I get home tonight . Would you rather me remove it completely or make an option to change the chat color in config?

 

It would be nice to have an option, Default as white and add an option to change it wouldn't hurt!

 

I will probably do something of the sort when im home, instead of a fix ill make it a feature.

 

How can i add my self as owner?

 

I found a few issues through the permissions currently.
However you can set your tag with /rt set virtual owner
this will give you the owner prefix and should give you owner permissions or add you to the owner group. (like I said I found some small bugs)

Every time I save the file and reload the server the ranks don't take effect and the config reverts back to default. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something very wrong? Is there anyway I can fix this?
