  1. Is there a way to make it so amountsofbecome takes the same amount it produces? Why tf would anyone want it to generate product that wasn't there to begin with? My oven multiplier set to 10x and cooktimes set to 1.0 and it's still not fast enough for me.
     
  2. Just downgraded to v1.3.0 and it can actually do what I want. Fix your plugin!

  5. I'm beginning to see a pattern that, that 1% that was quoted earlier is a lot more than the plugin maker thinks ;^)

  10. Not sure why you're being so hostile toward folks using your plugin. If you don't want feedback from the people who actually use it, maybe publishing plugins publicly is something you should reconsider. I believe there is a rather vocal group of people all asking the same question, and are genuinely confused as to why you would remove functionality that didn't really need to be. You could have easily accomplished what you've done in your updates while leaving backwards compatibility intact. If there is a reason other than "you just felt like it and screw anyone who disagrees", maybe a more thoughtful write-up of your motives for the change would be a good idea.

    Feedback is good, but trying to complain only or starting a shitstorm is a complete other thing.
    People who never did take part on this community came out of the dark, and they meant they got a claim on the functions like it did worked before...
    Thats exactly what we need here....bitching, yes, thats how it works!!!!
    Also, read 16 pages back....
    It's simply more accessible and easier to configure for everyone...Its bad luck for a small part of people, but when they never did try to configure it right to let it work also fast, then its not my problem, its simply their problem being retards and claiming on functions they never had a claim on.
    Public plugins are not meant to satisfy only a small group of people, they need to reach a wide range of people. But a small group of salty people will never understand such things, also they will never understand how this community works, and they will also never give respect to the plugin authors, when something does not met their requirements...We such such things a lot happen in the last time.

    Such people simply forget that those code was created in the sparetime of the plugin dev's. When people do not give the minimum respect to the authors and mean they can bitcht them, why should authors, and also me, do hear on their voices??? ;)
    And if YOU would have read back (before writing me here) the last 16 pages, then you would know why i'm such hostile.
    They did simply choose the wrong dev to play their salty shitstorm games. They want, they get it.
    The sound makes the music. And many people on the last 16 pages did not hit the right sound...
     
  12. Of course I didn't read the previous 16 pages of the discussion. Every modded server I've played on has used QuickSmelt for this specific functionality so I was surprised that this use case wasn't ubiquitous. As I mentioned, if on the description or in the FAQ of the project it was mentioned why such a change was made it wouldn't be necessary to do so.

    I can totally understand why you'd be frustrated with hearing the same complaint over and over again, I get it. I'm a software engineer as my profession and I spend time on OSS projects as well. It can be a thankless job, but it is a commitment we make nonetheless. My primary point is that communication is key, and being user hostile does neither party any good.

    If this is functionality you intend to keep out of QuickSmelt moving forward, would you be opposed to someone forking an earlier version and maintaining that for this more specific use case? In the meantime, I guess I'll be reading the previous 16 pages.

Thats only the people that PUBLICLY voice their opinion, I have had a couple few PM's from people asking me how to get the OLDER version of your plugin, but even then, thats what happens when you screw over a bunch of server owners by removing the ONE functionality that they used your plugin for, again, why fix what wasn't broken, the newer plugin version is more difficult to use, it is more configurable though, more options but is easier to break and limited, it only goes so fast and if thats not fast enough for you, tough love

  15. People would have downloaded the newer version and then realised the issues/config and then returned to the older version; just like me. I've also downloaded it 5 times alone from 2 different servers.
     
  16. Guesswork ;) But anyway, the version history is exactly meant to let people choose older versions in case of they are not satiesfied with any plugin changes.
