Also make sure you verify ALL your edits at jsonlint.com before savng as if you make even one tiny mistake it will revert to the original config

ok, i validated it, it is a valid json. But still no clue why it wont let me just shove this in the data folder. once I do, my server pretty much...poofs off the list.

Oh, ok, ill try that out then.
[DOUBLEPOST=1432787639][/DOUBLEPOST]yeah, also not working, when putting it in the config folder, it also does nothing. Ill try deleting everything. and redownloading the plugin again, see if that helps. -

ill do so after they readd it. I also wiped my server just now. planned on it from the get go, and wanted to get the jsons ready for when they readd oxide so i could just slap everything back together.
[DOUBLEPOST=1432791121][/DOUBLEPOST]here is the pic of where im placing it, still no...working results. Now this is after a wipe, fresh reinstall, everything. Still being a pain in the butt for me.

Since Alpha 14's release my Announcer plugin hasn't broadcast a single message. Seems like all the features work except Broadcast. I've tried tweaking it, resetting it, nothing has worked.

I have the latest oxide. In fact, none of my plugins that normally announce things to the server are announcing anything.

is the a possible way to do custom commands with this plugin say /rules gives you rules
but can i get it so you type /info and it gives you info about the server etc -

I think sometimes it says random that someone connected

Hello guyz,
First of all I'm really new at this thing. I am trying to edit Announcer plug-in but whenever I edit Announcer.json after the restart it turns into the default file. What am I doing wrong?
// Do not modify these values, to configure this plugin edit
// 'Announcer.json' in your server's config folder.
// <drive>:\...\save\oxide\config\
[DOUBLEPOST=1433051892][/DOUBLEPOST]Case closed, checked the config file from the the site, and I had a wrong character somewheresorry to botther you guyz but I hope this helps someone like me.

May be stating the obvious but are you extracting the file via ftp to your pc before editing the file? Also when you are adding new lines in your file are you ending the previous line with a ',' I have made that mistake before and I realised I was just writing all these lines without realising I never endded the previous one.
Example (something from mine)
"1. No killing on Sight ",
"2. Role Play each encounter you have with other players. ",
"3. When not in character state that with 'OOC'.",
when I am done with that section I don't need to add a ',' on the end of the last line. Sorry if im not making any sense. -
Everytime I add this plugin to my server it adds a password. I just cant win with any of the plugins.
