I just implemented a Challenge system that allows a faction member to challenge the leader. If a player challenges the leader it gives a 15 minute warning to the player and the leader. After that time, it allows FF and Building destruction between those two players. If the challenger kills the leader, the leader is set back to 0 playtime and the next player up becomes leader. If the Leader wins, the challenger is removed from the faction. If the player logs off during the challenge it ends. If the leader logs off during the challenge it does NOT end.
I need some testers. Let me know (keep in mind the version you will test also have several other changes). Thanks!

I love this idea, its very helpful with my RP server. It would be super helpful to have the leader of each faction assignable by admins. That way it operates as 3 "countries" each one with a leader who can set taxes etc for their nation.

One more thought that might be helpful.... On server join players would have no idea what faction they'd like to join. It might be nice to have a postpone option so that they can pick later. I know its possible to do via the text commands, but thats complicated and a random player wouldnt know how to do that..... Maybe if there was an "ask me later button" which would put them in the rebels but asked them again every time they joined the server until they selected one or officially selected rebels?

sounds very nice! i have another idea, but it is complex as hell. i am not sure if it would fit this plugin or not. well i will throw the idea at you anyways
it would be awesome if you as a faction could claim/capture monuments/radtows and then get a reward x hour for keeping it. you could go into a enemys radtown and type !claim and it would show a msg like this in chat "Faction x is trying to capture Trainyard!" you then needed to hold it for x minutes or so. i dont know if this is a bad idea, just had to come out with it -

A heads up for anyone downloading the recent updates. I am going to push a small update shortly that implements /faction invite and /faction kick for the Faction Leaders instead of using the /faction assign/unassign designated for Admins. I realized the assign/unassign was a bad idea for leaders as they would be able to assign/unassign players from any faction not just their own. In short, it was broken IMO.
I am testing the commands and will release it soon after. It will not break any data files or config so don't fret on downloading the existing updates.
