1. oh ok then... do you know when its released? i think 1.9 is what im running atm. sorry to be a pain

  2. It will be mentioned on the main page, so all plugins will be down until oxide releases a patch.

  3. i dont think i updated it... sorry if this is not the proper way to do it...but i cant figure out how to upload the txt fi
I am unsure if i updated the server.. i clicked steam update just before, but i dont think it did anything lol..[DOUBLEPOST=1390594966][/DOUBLEPOST]
Ok, so what your saying is, that if i can load into my server, but no mods load, the server is FINE, but i just gottta wait for Oxide to update? correct?

  4. So when will Oxide update? their plugins I mean.

  5. Is there a way you can plz write to me on how to update mods? i have no idea how and dont wanna try and then stuff it all up. Greatly appreciated :)

  6. Just uninstall and reinstall oxide it will begin to function again

  7. I'm with SS too, they don't auto-steam update, they let you control that yourself (which is good). The order to do things:

    - Backup map/player data
    - Steam Update
    - Uninstall Oxide
    - Install latest Oxide
    - Uninstall/Install plugins which rely on latest oxide
    - test :)

Unfortunately Rust updates make this sort of thing necessary - they often change code that then 'breaks' important plugins like oxide, which in turn affects other mods that rely on oxide. It's all in the name of improving the game though!

Best to hold off steam updates each time until oxide and any plugins your server relies on (e.g., Loot Lists and Crafting Controller if your server has 'rare' settings, that sort of thing) - it means your server won't show up in the list for players who have updated their client already, but that's usually better than munging up the balance of your server.[DOUBLEPOST=1390611943][/DOUBLEPOST]
This will happen if you 'Stop' the server after a 'Start' or 'Restart', before the world data has been loaded.

Easiest way to avoid wiping your map like this (which has nothing to do with this plugin, btw) is to connect at least once to the server before ever hitting the Stop button. Note that 'Steam Update', 'Restart', backup functions, and possibly a couple of other server actions, all initiate a 'Stop' as well, so can be destructive in this manner. If for whatever reason you can't login each time before a Stop, at least open up your server's 'Web Console' if you have one available to you, and wait for the 'rust_island_2013.sav loaded' line to come up (I think it's soon after 'finished unpacking trees!').

    The more you know.. ;)

  8. forgive me for being thick , but do i have to flag each and every player in the control panel to make this work ?

  9. You only need to flag players if you're giving them special permissions, like being able to kick other players (oxmin), or teleport (oxmin/teleport-to-coordinates), or make server announcements (broadcast), that sort of thing :)

This Death Handler mod has an option to show kills to all players (including unflagged), or just admin players (admin-flagged, or logged in through rcon). Hope that helps ;)

Edit: the 'deathconfig' flag mentioned in the overview just allows the flagged player to configure the mod ingame - it's not needed for normal operation.

  10. not currently working for me after update. I saved my mod data files. uninstalled all mods, uninstalled oxide. did steam update, installed oxide, installed updated mods, this one is not workign for me :(.

Correction: It appears I had an old version of Oxmin in there :( So sorry.

    Code:
[Oxide] A .NET exception was thrown trying to call static function Find on NetUser!
[Oxide] invalid arguments to method call (@)
    [Oxide] nil

  11. what version are you running? I just tested the plugin on every npc and my self and didn't get a single error? Are you sure you have the config set to display message on npc/player kills.

  12. Does this mod have the ability to spam out deaths of players from other sources (besides other players)? ie: Joe was killed by a wolf.

If not, could it be added?

  13. not right now but I could look into it

  14. is this just showed for the admins of the server or all? =)

  15. It's up to you, if you want jsut admins you can if you want to have everyone see the message you can and so forth.

  16. thats a seller for me :) so handy! Cheers for the reply
how do i set it up for ony admins? (A)

  17. Hi, how would i make it show distance?

  18. the plugin would have to be updated for this to happen it does not currently have this feature to my knowledge I believe he was saying it is possible and might have even been implying this will be added to his plugin in a future update.

  19. You can't yet. If you want to add the functionality yourself, you can do a simple point to point distance calculation that you should of learned in middle school. You can also just wait for me to update the plugin with the functionality.
    Thanks for being helpful!

  20. Thanks for clarifying GNSC4! But Hatemail, i think that would be a pretty cool update :)
