A few questions.
Do you have many groups in your better chat mod?
also have you tried backing up the mod and its config then deleting all of its files and uploading a fresh version.

I say this as many mods when I have had issues I have done a clean install of that mod and redone the settings and everything works fine.

 

So better chat has been working until the update before this, I add someone to a group like lets say myself chat user add honorall Owner. But it still says player on my tag I am even an owner with ownerid command. I am really confused as this plugin was working perfect then all of a sudden it is not. Thanks in advanced


So I figured out the problem when you create a new group it creates it with Display Text Player..... not with Owner, Noob, or any other text you have to manually change it as per the picture linked

How do you even use the BetterChat Group Manager how do you open a group in it?

 

Create a group called admin:

• /chat group add admin

Set the title:

• /chat group set admin Title [Admin]
• /chat group set admin TitleColor red

Add yourself to the group:

• /chat user add TnTGaming admin

No I was talking about the Program he made called BetterChat Group Manager

 

You need to download your Groups.json file that should be located on your server at: /oxide/data/BetterChat

Open that file to edit/add groups. Apply Changes. Save, and reupload the file. Then reload BetterChat on your server.

For less confusion I will make it so the title will be the same as the group name on creation.

 

Just open the Groups.json file with notepad++ and edit it the way you want its not hard to do

Or to make it even simpler you can usr the BetterChat Group Manager which is linked on the overview.

 

I am used to doing it my way, maybe others will find that program easier

yes I have done this sir in the screenshot provided thank you for all the support I just wish I could help you guys update plugins.. To help the work load.

 

erm... does new better chat no more works with regular oxide groups? (oxide.group <add|remove|set> <name> [title] [rank]) but have groups by itself? a bit confused if so.. it's double work setting groups then. or i am missing something?

Is there a way to replace [Better Chat] on console to [Chat] so we can use the Chat filter on rustadmin
