how to i make my self admin

 

@mrsteej please read the update log, overview and/or FAQ and I am sure your questions should be solved.
@ToxicDocter FAQ and Overview should show what you need to do.

Create a group called admin:

• /chat group add admin

Set the title:

• /chat group set admin Title [Admin]
• /chat group set admin TitleColor red

Add yourself to the group:

• /chat user add ToxicTocter admin

 

its says you dont have permission to use this command

• grant user ToxicDocter betterchat.admin

before.

Can i add make it so it uses oxide groups? SO when someone gets VIP group they have the VIP tag?

I cant change name collor on any groups i have tried doing it for players and other groups but it dosent work

Edit: never mind found it. It was in \oxide\data\BetterChat

type
ownerid <steamID> in your RCON console, where you replace <steamID> with your steamID.

After that, reconnect and try the other commands again.

 

i did but it still says im not a admin
i have the chat group but no permissions to create a new one

@LaserHydra And add in code that {(time.Days == 0 ? string.Empty : $"{time.Days} day(s)")} after {(time.Seconds == 0 ? string.Empty : $"{time.Seconds} second(s)")}

 

YESSSSSSSSS IT WORKS rustadmin didnt like the command had to install rusty

 

As I write in chat "/muteall" see it "Unknown command : muteall"



found the reason, the plugin is not a command like "Muteall" and "Unmuteall", there is an old "Muteglobal" and "Unmuteglobal", please correct the description of the plugin

You dont know how long ive been waiting for the capability of prioritizing groups
I think I even had asked ages back

 

i dont know if someone ask you but is some way to combine betterchat group with oxide group?

 

So I updated the plugin today and setup everything again. But I noticed that when someone is just typing 1 letter it doesn't allow it. So someone can't do "?" for example and has to do "??". This happens without any error message or notification that it's not allowed.

 

has something changed lately with BetterChat anytime I reload the plugin for changes it will be like a 5 min lag spike on the server even when I updated the plugin just now it made the server seem off for a few minutes I had to force close it. No other plugin I noticed has done this previously. Thanks
