Check your oxide.groups.data file with notepad++ as the permission must not be added to the correct group and make sure all groups have the correct permissions

 

My File is written in Chinese.

 

Needs to be in English

 

How do I get it to switch to english, because I am in America so.

 

If you mean the data file is not in English ie it has strange symbols it is meant to look like that you need to open it with notepad++ to view it but you cant edit it with notepad++ you can only do this with rcon commands

 

As far as I know, you can no longer read it like a txt file. It must be opened with a database viewer.

When I try and grant access to a group it says "Permission 'owner' dosent't exist" but in the config the permission is clearly set for "owner"

 

check oxide.groups.data it should auto add the permission to the correct group you dont need to add it. If you want upload your config will check it over

test this if you want to upload the groups file put .json to the end of the file after data so oxide.groups.data.json then you will be able to upload it

 

how do the permissions work because i am in the admin group with rank 3 and then with the kit plugin i set a kit to be authlevel 3 and i cant use it

 

There is no auth 3 auth 1 = mods auth 2 = admins and if you check the last post I made on the kit plugin it will help

 

okay, so if i want to have VIP kits but dont want people to be admin how does that work? because i figured it would work with betterchat but clearly im dumb and dont know anything

You would be best to stop server then delete the oxide.groups.data file it will make a new one and put the correct permissions into the correct groups as you have many groups in there not in better chat config and many permissions messed up. If you want to keep all the groups then you need to add them to the betterchat config just make sure rank number for each is different and permission as well if you want me to check it over first then pm me a copy before you upload it
