Would a Wire I/O system like Gmod has be possible?

Would Wiremod be possible for Rust? That you have a wire tool that you can hook up to buttons and pressure sensors and motion detectors?

Would make Rust so much more awesome. So you could wire a motion detector to "Close door" or something. Or ignite/extinguish lights or multiple lights with the press of a button instead of walking all past them.

I dont know if modders would be able to do this but it would make bases so much more awesome.

 

I think its possible somehow by using same system as Zone manager to trigger things by passing specific zone, but not sure if it possible to create button like 3d object. Its definitely possible by creating CUI buttons and chat commands, also some plugins already have these features.
