Setting up a Rust server with Windows

    Make sure Rust:IO is actually installed, and the TCP server port is open. If you need further help with it, please post in the Rust:IO thread.

    Hey Wulf I'm sure it's in the forums somewhere but I'm short on time today so I'll just ask. How do I set a map seed in the launcher. since I run my server from my pc it seems like every other time I start my server it changes the map seed thus causing me and anyone else on it to start over.

    In the .bat file, type -seed <number>
    So for example: -seed 2139672135

    I'll give it a try
    [DOUBLEPOST=1435605785][/DOUBLEPOST]nope still wants to make it's own seed. I have tried +server.seed <number> and -seed <number> neither are working

    Current .bat file:

    Try +server.seed "4072030936" instead.

    the server still insists on making the seed 2147483647

    Check to see if you are setting it in cfg/server.cfg, also make sure you are using +server.seed, not +seed.

    I have serverauto.cfg,users.cfg and ban.cfg in my cfg file... but none of them have server seed settings... I'll go through that link and see if it might help.

    That serverauto.cfg isn't used, check your root server folder to see if a cfg folder and server.cfg exists.

    D:\RustServer\steamapps\common\rust_dedicated\server\Crimson's World\cfg

    no server.cfg inside cfg file

    D:\RustServer\steamapps\common\rust_dedicated\config

    config.vdf is the only thing in this file

    Ok, ever since i rust updated, i updated oxide and i run the .bat file, everything looks fine but i cant find my server in the server list on rust.

    You may never, the Rust server list is fairly limited, as it only shows 200 servers today at one time. You could try searching for it.

    Hey all guys again, can you help me? When i install oxide, sometimes i cant loot and cant see my corpse, and other players see it, how can i fix this probem?

    before i instal oxide all was ok, i can loot all my corpse, but now i fix it with installing plugin with time of corpse in world, so its fine now
